You Remember?

Third person pov*****

Kara sat on the bed running her hand over her face she sighed.

"you remember, " Augustus asked, Kara looked at him in shock this is what she feared she was trying to make up a lie

" don't even try and lie to me, I have known you since the day you were born " he wanted and slowly walked towards her making sure that she fine with it

" Look I don't know what to tell you okay? I remember everything but I don't know how and why? Why remind me of the things I don't what to remember " she said frustrated

" I know why," he said and she looked at him hopefully

He sat next to her

" Kara you have HSAM, highly superior Autobiographical Memory. It's an ability to accurately recall events occurring throughout your lifetime. Your mother found out when Aunt saw you reading one of my books while she was taking care of me as Mom and Dad went out for some business meeting,  I couldn't memorize the poem but at just the age of 3 you told the poem of a 7-year-old that too without seeing, she found weird she asked u to memorize just a para from Elijah's book next but you memorized the whole thing after that she took you to a psychiatrist along with me. We got to know about your HSAM, you know how rare it is right?  And I am pretty sure you already remember about our families being in the mafia " She nodded

"Please don't tell them that I know about the mafia I want them to tell me " he nodded and he continued " She guessed how protective your brothers and dad's side of the family will be. If they knew about it they wouldn't let you live, always with either your brother or guards,  home-schooled not allowed to have friends or boyfriends. Although it would have been to keep you safe you wouldn't have known the life outside."

"But Nonna why didn't she tell her? Nonna wouldn't let them do that  "

"I don't know about everything Kara. The elders thought,  still think that we are too young "

" Now that you know everything I need you to trust me and tell me what happened "

He tries to move close to her but she moves away

"Kara, please "

" Augustus, please," she said panicking

"Okay okay please don't be scared I am leaving okay calm down "

" No" He looked at her shocked

"Please stay, I don't want to be alone and I don't want to face any of them " he slowly goes and sits beside her on the bed.

Kara lies down and so does he.

" I hope you haven't become a pervert in all these years," Kara said to lighten the mood

" Ouch you think I am a pervert I am hurt "

" your words, not mine "

After a while, Kara fell asleep but Augustus on the other hand was far from sleep. He got up and took the med box. He took out an ointment and slowly applied it on Kara's hand, the scars on her hand didn't go unnoticed by him

" I am sorry," he said and lays beside her

( I don't like this, I don't even know why I wrote something so bad... Like there are 100 things in my mind that are better than this but idk what's wrong... Sorry )

When Kara woke up she didn't see Augustus next to her. She sighed in relief. 

But she saw a note saying
Sorry had to leave work
