Hey, it's been a year, since I first started writing Kara. I remember having my Kannada mid-term exam the next day but couldn't stop myself from writing it. I started it as just a time-pass thing, thinking people wouldn't even notice. But I was wrong, thanks to all of you we are almost at 350k reads. I am so grateful. Kara gave Augustus a weak smile and mouthed " 2 minutes " to which he nodded.
Kara walked to her friends, she tried smiling as much as she could and said " Thank you, for being here. Here for me "
" of course, we are there for you, " Kate said
" Group hug " Adam yelled
Max was the first one to agree, and they hugged "Thank you " Kara said her friends looked at her confused she just nodded her head negatively saying it was nothing.
" Adrian, Will you be leaving tomorrow? " She asked and he nodded. She extended her hands asking for a hug. " be safe " she whispered as soon as they hugged.
" I will be like always, and you promise me you will be safe too. If anything happens call me I will catch the first flight and be near " he whispered back. She nodded
" you don't have to fake a smile for us you know," he whispered while leaving her, to which she nodded and gave a small but real smile.
" You should go now that dude is sending as death looks from that time, " Victoria said
" if looks could kill us we would be at least 30 feet underground," Max told
" Nick? " Kara asked
" Don't worry about him, he is already asleep you go now " Elizabeth said pushing Kara toward where Augustus stood. Kara nodded her head wished them good night and walked toward Augustus.
" Will they be mad? " Kara asked as soon as she stood near him
" Can we blame them? " He asked and started walking along with Kara who was going towards the exit.
She let a heavy sigh and asked "Why did you stay? You could have left to you know "
" The world could turn upside down but me leaving you alone would never happen " He replied, opening the passenger seat door for her to sit it. Kara flushed at this and tried not to turn red, the task she failed miserably.
She took out her phone and texted Adam asking him to take her car along with him because she was going along with Augustus.
