RAILS OF REUNION

Tuesday, February 19th, 1980.

As the sun gently cast its warm rays into Lisa's bedroom, she woke up to the familiar comfort of her apartment.

The soft sound of birds chirping outside filled the air, bringing peace to the morning.

Lisa's devoted maid, Mrs Lee, bustling around in the kitchen, prepared a delicious breakfast, filling the apartment with delightful aromas.

Mrs. Lee, originally from Tokyo, had been a part of Lisa's life for as long as she could remember. She was like a second mother to Lisa, her love and care shining through in every gesture.

Lisa emerged from her room, already dressed in her crisp white doctor's uniform, a symbol of her dedication to her profession.

She greeted Mrs. Lee with a warm smile, their morning routine a cherished ritual.

"Morning, Mrs Lee" Lisa greeted, her voice filled with gratitude and affection. "What do you have planned for today?"

Mrs. Lee turned to Lisa, her eyes sparkling with motherly concern. "Good morning, Lisa. I've prepared your favourite breakfast - steaming hot congee with a side of freshly brewed tea. A hearty start for a busy day ahead."

Lisa's face lit up with appreciation as she sat down at the table. "Wow. You always know how to make mornings brighter. I have a few important cases at the hospital today, including young Emma's check-up. I'm hopeful for positive progress in her treatment."

Mrs. Lee nodded, her gentle smile radiating warmth. "I do not doubt that you'll bring comfort and healing to those in need, just as you always do, dear."

Savouring each spoonful of her breakfast, Lisa couldn't help but feel fortunate to have Mrs. Lee's unstoppable support and love in her life.

Their conversation continued, blending laughter, shared memories, and updates on family matters.

Later that day, Lisa walked briskly through the bustling corridors of the hospital, her white lab coat bellowing behind her.

The scent of antiseptic lingered in the air as she made her way to the conference room, where an important meeting awaited her.

Today's discussion revolved around a critical issue.

As Lisa entered the room, she noticed the tension etched on the faces of her colleagues.

Among them was Namjoon, a compassionate doctor and a close friend.

Their eyes met, silently conveying their shared determination to make a difference in the lives of their young patients.

The meeting commenced, and the doctors delved into the topic of a particular illness, Leukemia, and its devastating impact on children like Emma.

Lisa listened intently as the room filled with varying perspectives.
