As we walked Kattnis and Peeta were in the front, Finnick in the middle holding mags, and Flynn and I in the back.
I turn around when I thought I heard something, seeing nothing was there I turn back around to keep walking. I move some veins out of the way only to stop again. I see the same shimmering I saw in the training center with Beetee and Wiress.
It's a force field.
And Peeta was about to hit it.
"Peeta no!!" I scream but i was too late. Peeta hit the force field and go flying backyards hitting all of us. "Peeta?" Kattnis asks crawling over to him "He's not breathing he's not breathing" she starts to panic looking at all of us "He's not breathing. Peeta!" She begs Finnick moves her out of the way and starts to do cpr on him. "Peeta?" Kattnis says crawling back over "Come on come on!" Finnick says "Please wake up!" Kattnis cry's as Finnick puts his head on his chest to see if his heart was beating. "Please wake up Peeta" Kattnis cries again "Come on come on!" Finnick mumbles doing cpr again
"Come on come on Peeta!" Finnick mumbles "Peeta...Peeta... Peeta..." Kattnis cries Finnick keeps doing cpr and he finally gasp for air. "Oh my God" I mumble watching the scene unfold "Peeta? Peeta!" Kattnis says as Finnick moves out "Oh my God" Kattnis cries holding up peetas head "Be careful there's a force field up there" Peeta tells us We let out a chuckle and watch as Kattnis kisses him "Oh my God. You were dead. You were dead, your heart stopped" she tells him "It's ok. It's working now" he tells her as they give each other a hug "Do you-do you want to stand up?" Kattnis asks him "Yeah" he mumbles as Flynn and Finnick help him stand up
As soon as he's up Kattnis pulls him into another hug. "It's ok" he tells her as we all watch I look over at Finnick to see a tear falling from his eye. I put my hand on his shoulder trying to bring him some comfort, but he just walks off. Flynn grabs my hand and gives me a tight squeeze before we all start walking again.
Kattnis walks in front with me as she throws small rocks at the force field so we can know where it ends. I look up at the trees before looking at Kattnis. "Wanna take a quick look?" I ask her nodding towards the tree "Yeah, hang on guys" she tells the rest of the group as we climb up the tree.
Once we make it to the top we see the whole arena. It's the biggest one they have made yet. I look up at the sky to see the same shimmering. I take an arrow out and lift it up to the sky.
Then I watch as the arrow hits a force field at the top. We're in a dome. "It's a dome" Kattnis mumbles "They definitely upped their game" I mumble before we both head back down
"The force field, it's a dome" Kattnis tells the rest of them "And we're at the edge of the arena. We couldn't find any signs of fresh water" I tell them "It's gonna get dark soon, we'll be safe with our back protected. We should set up camp" Flynn suggests "Take turns sleeping, I'll take first watch" Finnick tells us "Not a chance" Kattnis laughs "Honey, that thing I did back there for Peeta? That was called saving his life. If I wanted to kill you either of you I would've done it by now. I mean you're completely outnumbered" he tells her then walks off "Why don't you get some rest? I'll take first watch" Kattnis tells Peeta "Just for a bit" he nods and walks off with Flynn "Kattnis, it might not feel like it. But we're all on the same team here." I tell her but she just leans against the tree not answering.
