"I've made you both some surprises" Beetee says as we follow him into his workshop "Maybe you wanna try one out" Beetee tells Gale who followed behind us "If you're gonna be a part of their propo team, you may as well look the part." He tells him Gale grabs the arrow gun thing and stands in front of a target. He fires it and once it hits the target it catches on fire. "And this one is for you two" Beetee tells us "Plutarch wanted you to have a weapon for the sake of the propos but couldn't just make yours a fashion accessory." He says giving us both a bow Kattnis' was all black again while mine had two strips of gold. "And even though you are going to have to same weapon, you Evelyn were also known for your sword so..." Beetee says grabbing a sword off the table and handing it to me. It looked just like my sword in my first games but way nicer and the handle was black and gold. "They are beautiful" I tell Beetee "It's amazing Beetee" Kattnis tells him "And look here" he says wheeling over to the arrows "Regular. Incendiary. Explosive arrows. All color coded. And tell Finnick I've got a trident for him, when he's ready" Beetee tells us as Kattnis takes an arrow walking over to the target "Might just cheer him up" Beetee tells us as I finally see Kattnis had a red arrow Beetee tries to go over there so I stop Kattnis for him I put my hand on her shoulder "How about we don't shoot the red ones in here" I tell her "Yeah don't do that" Beetee says with a awkward smile taking the arrow
Boggs leads Kattnis and I to the hover craft we would be taking and we look around at all the weapons and planes they have "You had all of this and you just left the districts to fend for themselves?" Kattnis asks him "It's not that simple, we barely survived. We weren't in any kind of shape to launch a counterattack. Yeah, we could've bombed the Capitol but they would've retaliated with at least twice the firepower. Then what? There would've been nobody left to claim victory." Boggs tells us "Sounds like exactly what Flynn said and then you all called him a traitor" I tell him keeping my eyes forward
"This way soldiers" he says not responding to my comment "You are camera ready" Effie tells Gale as we walk up "Doesn't your comrade look handsome?" Effie asks but I just keep walking as Boggs and Kattnis stop After a second I hear them walking on, I guess Kattnis didn't have anything to say.... "Come back safe" Effie tells us "Quick instructions, these people came a long way to support the cause. This is Cressida, in my opinion one of the best up and coming directors in the capitol." Plutarch tells us "Until I up and left. Hey" she nods to us "Hey" Kattnis says as I just nod back "Let's see what you can do. All right. Be careful" Plutarch says then walks out
"This is my assistant, Messalla." She tells us "It's an honor to meet you both" he nods "And your camera man over there, castor." She tells us "Hello" he nods "And Pollux" she tells us as he just nods "Let's get locked in" Boggs tells us
Kattnis and I take a seat next to Pollux as Kattnis speaks up "You're all from the Capitol? Plutarch got you?" She asks him "Don't expect much chitchat from him. He's an avox. Capitol cut his tongue out years ago. And no, it wasn't any sort of rescue, if that's what you mean. We all fled on our own. For this. For you both." She tells us as the plane takes off
"This has gotta be fast. In and out." Boggs says as the plane lands "Move out!" He yells as we get off the plane "You're alive then. We weren't sure." A woman says as we walk up "Kattnis, Evelyn. Commander Paylor, district 8." Boggs tells us "Kattnis and Evelyn have been recovering, but they insisted on coming out and seeing some of your wounded." Bogg tells her "Well we've got plenty of those" she says as she nods for us to follow
"We have a mess grave a few blocks west, but I can't spare the manpower to move them yet. Hospitals past that curtain. Any hope you can give them, it's worth it. The Capitols done everything they can to break us." she tells us "Aren't you worried about having all your wounded in one place?" Gale asks her "I think it's better than leaving them to die" she answers as Kattnis and I look at all the bodies on the floor with a sheet over them "That's not what I meant." Gale tells her "Well that's my only other option. You can come up with another, I'm all ears. It's right through here" she tells us as we walk up to a curtain
She moves it out of the way and Kattnis and I see how many wounded people there are. "Don't film us in there, we can't help them" Kattnis says "Just let them see your faces" Cressida tells us We both start to walk forward looking around at everyone. I take deep breaths as I see all these innocent people wounded.
I watch as people start to stand up looking at us. "Kattnis Everdeen? Evelyn Lily?" Someone asks and we turn around to look at them "What are you doing here?" A young girl asks us "We came to see you" I tell her "What about your baby Kattnis?" Someone else asks "I-I lost it" Kattnis tells her "Are you fighting?" A boy asks us "Are you here to fight with us?" He asks "We are" Kattnis nods "We will" I nod Then he kisses his three fingers and raises it up, one by one everyone in the room had their hand raised. Kattnis and I slowly turn around looking at everyone with tears in our eyes.
We're going to win. Even if it's the last thing I do.
