We all sit in a circle eating the fish Finnick had caught, while Peeta opens up an oyster. He grabs the pearl out of it and hands it to Kattnis "Look. For you" he smiles "Thank you" Kattnis tells him Then we hear a loud noise on the other side of the arena. We watch as a whole wave crashes through, hitting a force field once it got to the building then slow spreads out. If someone was in that, they definitely didn't survive.
The water washes over our feet and we see another hover craft flying over picking up a tribute. "Someone's here" Kattnis wants us drawing a arrow We all hide while trying to see who it was "Johanna?" I mumble and start to run towards them "Johanna!!" Finnick, Flynn and I all yell running at them "Eve! Finnick! Flynn!" She yells I give her a small hug even though she was covered in blood "Are you ok? What happened?" I ask her "Well I got em out." She says as Peeta and Kattnis run up "We were all the way deep into the jungle, where I thought it was gonna be safe. That's when the rain started, I thought it was water. Turned out to be blood! Hot, thick blood" Johanna tells us and Wiress comes walking up from the water "Tick Tock" she says "It was coming down" Johanna kept talking moving Wiress out of the way "Tick Tock" she says again "It was choking us!" Johanna says "We were stumbling around, gagging on it, blind." She tells us "Tick tock" Wiress says again "That's when blight hit the force field" Johanna says "Tick tock, tick tock" Wiress says "He wasn't much but he was from home" Johanna says looking at us "Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock" Wiress mumbles "What's wrong with her?" Kattnis asks "She's in shock" Beetee says coming out of the water "Dehydration isn't helping, do you have fresh water?" He asks us "We can get some" Flynn nods "Tick tock tick tock!" Wiress says grabbing Johanna "Listen, stop it!" Johanna yells "Johanna hey!" I yell running over "Lay off her!" Kattnis yells running after her as well "Just sit down!" She yells shoving Wiress down Kattnis starts to shove Johanna as I try to get them both to stop. "Hey what are you doing!" She yells shoving both of us "Hey hey hey" Finnick says coming over "I got them out for all of you!" Johanna yells as Finnick pulls her back "What?" I mumble as Flynn hold me back and Peeta holds Kattnis back "Let me go finnick!" Johanna yells "For us? What does she mean?" Kattnis asks us and I just stay silent. The answer feels like it's right under my nose, but I still don't understand.
Finnick and Beetee take Johanna to cool down as Wiress stands up and smiles at us "Come on Wiress, let's go get you cleaned up" I tell her throwing my weapons down "Kattnis you coming?" I ask and she nods in response walking with me "Tick tock" Wiress says as Kattnis and I are on both sides of her "Tick tock" I repeat "Tick tock!" She says again
Kattnis and I start to clean her off as Johanna not too far off cleans her weapons. I look back to see Beetee winding up some wire. "What does Beetee have there?" I ask Johanna "The coil? It's some kind of wire" she tells me "Did he get it from the cornucopia?" Kattnis asks "Took a knife in the back to get it" Johanna tells us We hear a loud banging noise then Wiress gasps "Tick tock! Tick tock!" She says again "All right all right" I say trying to calm her down "I can't. Just- have fun with nuts" Johanna tells us walking off I look up to the sound of lighting striking the tree again Then Wiress looks up at me "Tick tock" she tells me "Tick tock... tick tock.... a clock... it's a clock" I mumble looking around "Oh my God it's a clock!" Kattnis says once she catches on "Wiress you're a genius!" I tell her grabbing her face "You're a genius!" I cheer again
"This entire arena seems to be laid out like a clock, with a new threat every hour. But they only stay within their wedge. It all starts with the lighting, then the blood rain, fog, monkeys. That's the first four hours." I tell everyone as we walk along the platform "At 1 that big wave hits from over there" Kattnis tells them "Look the tail points to 12" Flynn points out "That's where the lighting strikes at noon and midnight" I tell everyone "Strikes where?" Beetee asks me "That big tree" I tell him pointing "Good" I hear him mumble before I turn away
"So basically we're surviving Snows games, not the tributes anymore" I scoff "Hickory Dickory dock. The mouse ran up the clock, the clock struck one, the mouse ran down, hickory dickory dock" I hear Wiress sing as she sits down on the edge
Peeta draws a circle on the ground a "So 12 to 1, lighting. 1 to 2, is blood. Then fog. And then monkeys." Peeta says "And then 10 to 11, the wave." Flynn adds "What about everything else? Did you guys see anything?" I ask everyone "Nothin but blood" Johanna says "Doesn't matter, as long as we stay clear of whichever sector is active. We'll be safe" Flynn says "Yeah relatively speaking" Beetee says I look over at Wiress because she had stopped singing. Only to see her getting stabbed in the neck Beetee tries to run at him but Kattnis holds him back. I pull out an arrow and aim it at him but I see a knife sticking out of his chest. "Move!" Johanna yells shoving me out of the way Once I look up I see she has killed someone who was charging at me
I see Flynn fighting one of the guys so I aim my arrow at him, but before I could fire the guy start to run away. Finnick holds Flynn back from chasing him but I run past and start to follow with Kattnis and Johanna.
But as soon as we do the whole platform starts to spin. We all grab onto the rock, holding up for dear life.
I see Kattnis slip from her grip, Johanna quickly grabs her hand and sticks her axe into the rock. My grip starts to get looser and looser "Evelyn!!!" I hear both Kattnis and Johanna yell
Then I feel my hands let go "No!!" I hear Kattnis and Johanna yell
