Demi's POV

As I flicked on the kettle I realised I was still in just a towel. Keeping a close eye on the girl sat at the table I slipped into my room and put on a dressing gown. Whilst in my room I was really debating on calling the police, a young scruffy girl had just slipped through the window of my flat. A crazed fan she could have been, but I think there is something more to her appearing in my room than that. I haven't told anyone I'm here so I'm not even sure how a fan would have got my address. Returning back to the dining room I poured out two teas and handed the girl one. Not even looking up she slid the cup from my hand into hers, holding it close to herself.
"I think you should tell me who you are" I explained, as calmly as I could, trying not to set her off again.
Looking up slightly the girl mumbled quietly, "I am no one. Honestly no one."
"Hey, you obviously are someone and seem pretty lost and rough to me, let me know who you are and I can try and help." I leant forward and grabbed her hand.
"I-I-I'm Miyah. I was running from them. If your window wasn't open they would have got me. I'm not safe anywhere. I'm scared."
I wasn't sure what to reply to that. I needed to find out more. But she was just a vulnerable young girl. She didn't look much older than 13, and looked like she had been sleeping rough for a while.

"What do you mean? Get away from who?"

I stood up and walked over towards the window. Miyah looked up at me in fear. As I unclipped the window and thursted it open I kept checking back at Miyah. Making sure she didn't run. She was vunerable, I wanted to help. Leaning out the window the sun was setting and the building was casting a huge shadow, I looked out as far as I could see. Nothing. I turned back to Miyah. Puzzled.

"I-I can't tell you who they were." She whispered lightly.

"Well I'm going to have to phone the police, I mean you just climbed through my window. You're in such a state. I'm worried about you."

As I finished my sentance she bolt upright. The intense fear running through her eyes gave me butterflies.

"N-N-N, Not the police. Please. I can';t. You can't. Ur. I'm going" Miyah trembled as she spoke.

She was moving towards the door cautiously. I could tell she didn't want to be outside. She was scared, infact terrifyed fitted her situation more, I needed to think of a plan, keep her here, safe as long as I could. Thats it. I have an idea.

"Miyah, please. I want to help you. Just stay here then. No police." I gestured her back to her seat.
