(Part 3: Case Closed)

Hindi ko mapigilan ang pagtaas ng isang kilay ko as I stared at Loki. Ibinaba ko lamang iyon nang magsalita si Lorelei.

"YOU can sit with us," Lorelei was quick to reply.

Inilabas ni Jeremy ang kanyang cellphone nang makapwesto kami sa mga bakanteng upuan. The table was rectangular and Jeremy sat in the corner with Loki and Lorelei on his sides. Magkatabi sina Loki at Jamie sa kanang bahagi. Alistair sat beside Lorelei with Jamie across him. Pumwesto naman ako sa upuan na katapat ng upuan ni Jeremy while Gray sat beside Jamie at tumabi naman kay Alistair si Math.

"Can we take a groufie? I'm gonna upload it on instagram with the caption 'Is this real life or is this just fantasy", Jeremy said with a wide grin. Gray massaged the back of his neck and I bet it was because of Jeremy's silliness.

"Stop it Jeremy. We're here to eat." I looked at the four others with an apologetic look bago sinamaan ng tingin si Jeremy. Bahagya itong sumimangot bago ibinaba ang kanyang cellphone.

When we were seated ay hindi pa rin nakaget-over si Jeremy sa presensya ng apat. It looks like he's more interested with these people than the meal in front of him. Parang kanina lamang ay halos kaladkrin na niya kami sa paghahanap ng restaurant kung saan kami pwedeng kumain.

"Pareho tayong nandito upang mangalap ng impormasyon tungkol kay Santa diba? At dahil diyan, it is my honor to share my stimulating quizzes to the QED Club."

Sabay kaming napasinghap sa sinabi niya. Oh come on, maybe he mean that he wanna spread his virus to them. Kawawa naman ang mga ito.

"Correction, it's called Stupid Puns", wika ni Math and avoided Jeremy's deadly glare.

"Don't mind her. Hindi kasi niya masagutan ang quizzes ko kaya bina-badmouth niya ako sa inyo."

"Go ahead", Alistair said at matamang nakinig kay Jeremy.

He let out a sheepish grin at isa-isang tiningnan ang mga ito. "What do you get when you cross a Santa and a detective?"

"Uhm... Santa Cross?"

"Eeeeeenk!"

"Shoot."

"Edi SANTA CLUES! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Just like the way he used to crack his puns, he burst out laughing as if there's no tomorrow. I rolled my eyes at natampal ang noo ko. Alistair smiled at his pun and the rest had a puzzled expression maliban kay Loki na blanko lamang ang ekpresyon. They might be wondering what's funny about what Jeremy said. Ah, maybe Alistair smiled because he is nice guy after all. Maybe he will feel sorry for Jeremy if no one will appreciate his pun.

"What?", he stopped laughing and looked around. "Tsk, that was easy pero hindi niyo nasagot? Oh, I'm so disappointed."

"And this is one reason why I didn't want to share our table with them," Loki whispered but I was able to hear it. Ah baka sinadya niyang marinig talaga namin.

"Let's move to the next one. Ano ang pinagkaiba ng Snowmen sa Snowladies?"

"Their gender!" Loki's tone was serious. "Obviously snowmen are male while snowladies are female."

"Eeeeenk! Mali pa rin. It's SnowBalls! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, that was kinda green."

Pinigilan ko ang sarili kong hilahin si Jeremy paalis sa mesa. Can't he just keep his puns to himself? Ako ang nahihiya dahil sa pinag-gagawa niya. Kung titingnan sila, mukha silang hindi interesado sa mga jokes ni Jeremy. Well, it's not really funny kaya naiintindihan ko na din sila kung bakit ganoon ang reaksyon nila.
