Growing desperate waiting for Aman and Karan who didn't come yet for lunch, she lied down on bed. Looking up at the ceiling, staring at nothing in particular, she recalled the memories of her past.

The memories which haunt her, bringing about the sad tears in her eyes, gradually changes into happy ones as her mind repeats the two names which changed her life completely turning it upside down. The two names within which her life was revolving around.

A small smile tucked in her lips as the thought of Aman and Karan enveloped her mind, flashing the memory of the day they entered in her life.

*Flashback*

Aimless she walked on the middle of the road, void of energy her legs were giving up but she kept dragging them with only one hope and that being some vehicle coming and hitting her, taking her away from this cruel world.

There was no meaning left to her void life and she wanted to end it today. Watching a truck approaching towards her she smiled a tight zipped painful smile thanking the God to fulfill her only wish which was to die.

The sound of the horn grew louder with every second passed and she closed her eyes awaiting the moment she's been praying for. She felt someone's hand on her own, and before she could realize she was pulled back hastily from the middle of the road just at the correct moment. Any delay would have led to her accident.

Opening her eyes she found she was standing at the corner of the road accompanied by two guys taller than her. One holding her by her hand, with an angry look on his face while the other had a concerned look. Looking around she realized she was saved by them.

"Are you mad??"

It was none other than Aman who questioned with a scary tone, which scared Tanu further. Unable to hold her tears anymore, she started crying trying to loosen the grip of his hand from her arms speaking in whispers

"Leave me, let me die!"

Karan and Aman exchanged looks, Aman didn't leave her hand, Karan bent his head and looking at her he asked in a soft voice

"Where are your parents??"

The word parents only made her cry harder, she choked a sob falling down on her knees. The answer was clear, bending down to her level Aman hugged her feeling her pain, she struggled trying to come out of his hold but she didn't had energy left to struggle.

She hugged him back finding his warmth soothing as he repeated the words 'it's ok' rubbing her back gently. She hugged him tight crying harder on his shoulder, Aman felt his heart stinging with every sob he heard. He broke the hug wiping her tears from his thumbs as he cupped her face asking her to tell them everything.

"I'm hungry"

She could manage to tell only those two words before letting herself fall on his shoulder again void of energy. She didn't eat from past two days, watching her in that helpless situation broke their heart.

Taking her to the nearest restaurant, they ordered food for her. Food was in front of her, but she couldn't bring together enough strength to stretch her hands and feed herself. With trembling hands she held the glass of water but it slipped out of her hand falling down spreading everywhere.

Aman stood from his chair and turning his back towards her he left. Thinking he left from there as the water spread all around his shoes, she cried looking down.

"Drink"

Aman said taking the glass tumbler near her lips, she raised her head watching him as he made her drink water slowly. She clearly didn't expect this, not after spreading water on his shoes. She watched him with an unbelievable look, as he picked up the plate from the table keeping the tumbler there.
