Chapter 22

Taiven

He wasn't able to get that stupid smile off of his face, and he'd tried. He was now officially king, and Tara was his queen. Was it okay for him to be happy despite the situation they were in? After all, his castle was full of dark merpeople, his guards were up on the surface, and when Adara finds out that she didn't have control over the ocean, well things were going to get worse. Yet, he smiled as if everything was perfectly okay. The castle looked gorgeous, Adara had put a lot of work into it, but Taiven still preferred his little cell wedding. He preferred Tara—his wife—over anything.

Taiven was eventually ordered to stop swimming, and wait. This part of the castle was full of merpeople, non of which he recognised. All of them were from the Deep.

"Son" He suddenly heard his father whisper to him. Now they both had to be very subtle because an entire room was watching them. Taiven nodded to prove that he heard him. "I was simply wondering, so you have any sort of plan do get us out of this mess?"

Taiven continued to smile as he shook his head. No, he had no clue what to do.

I have a plan; a very simple, smart, easy to follow plan that can get Breena and Cyri out of here. I don't really know about me, but still it was worth a shot. And yeah, it might not work, but how could this possibly get any worse? Maybe if I die, they'll feed me in heaven.

I carefully repeated in a whisper the instructions; Goron was back and paying a little more attention to us. When I was sure that the princesses fully understood, we went into action.

"Goron!" I shouted as loudly as possible, I was good at that. "GoronGoronGoronGoronGoronGoron!"

"Who is talking!?"He shouted, now coming to our cell to see us, looking furious. "Be quiet!" He shouted at me.

"But I don't wanna be quiet" I replied with a smirk, even though that I was shaking to death.

"I do not give a care about what you want" Goron snapped. "Stay quiet or I shall have you punished."

"Oh please" I replied in my usual sarcastic careless ton. "What could a merman like you do to me? I'm sure a shark could cause me more pain than you ever could." Believe it or not, that was an insult of the highness rate. I have actually picked up a few things during my time down here. Sure its not very good things, but they were still things.

But what I was not expecting in my almost perfect plan, was the way Goron reacted. Yes, I knew that I was probably going to get hurt, but what he did will probably haunt my nightmares forever, and considering that I was a mermaid, that is a very long time. His whole eyes actually turned black, so black that I saw my terrified expression in it. His long fangs came out, and his nails suddenly grew long, and I swear that he now looked bigger. He shot his arm between the bars and grabbed my neck and started chocking me.

Cyri screamed, but Breena was the one who stuck by the plan. Goron had been so focused on be that he hadn't noticed the princess who had been by my side this whole time. Breena had a rock in her hand, that I had given her earlier, and with it, she banged Goron as hard as possible on the head. He immediately let go of me, which was good because I was starting to lose air.
