Enjoy my loves!

Your life wasn't a very exciting one compared to others in your family. They all went off to become warriors or sail the vast oceans and explore the world, while you stayed in a small farm house tending to the animals and the crops themselves.

Sure you occasionally went into the closest town, which was still a good 2 hour walk away, Kattegat, to trade. It relaxed you to stay away from the hurry of the people there though, everyone was always out late at night drinking and celebrating.

The farm kept you busy and out of trouble, so you enjoyed all the time you spent there, even if it wasn't easy labor. Your family would occasionally visit but that was rare, they disapproved of you not having a husband or anyone close by to help you.

That was all going to change today though, and you had no clue it was coming it all.

The sun had yet to rise and you threw your feet over the edge of your bed, yawning as you pulled off the thin linen gown you were sleeping you. You swiftly pulled on a black long sleeved gown and tied a red apron around it, clasping the top with golden clips. Your shoes were rather simple and worn down and a small leather satchel hung at your waist before you even got to your tiny kitchen.

The dress had been a gift from one of the princes in Kattegat, as a way to show their appreciation for all the hard work you did alone. After all, you were one of their biggest contributors for crops.

But that didn't really matter now as you flattened down the comfortable material and went to grab some bread and ale. You quickly ate and drank and then rushed outside.

The dark sky greeted you and you took a large breath in, enjoying the silence and slight chill in the air. Slowly, you made your way to the large farm you took care of every day, tending to the crops and harvesting any that were ready.

You had a farming scythe leaned up against the side of the fence from the day before and you quickly pick it up, turning it in your hands a little before you start cutting down the fully grown wheat. As you cut it down, you drag a hand woven basket with you and throw the crops into the basket.

Sweat starts to form on your forehead and you quickly wipe it on your sleeve before getting back to work, smiling at the few people who crossed down the road near you.

Even though you were far out from Kattegat, people still frequently passed by on horse to get to one place to another, they kept to themselves most of the time and you were completely okay with that.

You spent around 3 hours going to work, stoping for a few minutes to relax or wipe sweat off of you. Occasionally you sat down or re-braided your hair before getting back to work.
