"Uh, nothing." Dustin says quickly.

I raise my eyebrow, "Oh please," I walk up to the two, grabbing Steve's hand. "Then what the hell is this."

They both look down at the bat before I drop Steve's hand, crossing my arms, "I'm waiting."

They share a look, "Dustin found this weird creature and then he kept it and it ate Mews." Steve explains quickly.

Dustin smacks Steve's arm, "Dude!"

My eyes widen, "Wait. Weird creature? As in, Dart?"

Dustin looked back at me nervously.

"Dustin! You kept him!" I accused.

"I-I, no. No I didn't." Dustin tried.

"Don't even deny it. You kept Dart and he ate Mews." I argued, putting the pieces together.

"Okay, fine. Maybe I did keep him." Dustin shrugged.

I shake my head, "Wait, why is Steve here then?"

"I'm here to help!" Steve said, waving his bat.

"Why didn't you come to me, Dust? I could have helped."

Dustin sighed, "I don't know. Can we just get back to Dart now?!"

"Yeah, where is he?" I asked.

"Well, I trapped him," Dustin explained, "He's in here now." He points to the storm cellar.

"Well I don't hear anything." I conclude, putting my ear close to the doors.

"He's in there! I put him in there!" Dustin shouts.

I roll my eyes, snatching the flashlight out of Steve's hand, shining it in both of their faces, "If this is some silly little Halloween prank I will kill you both."

"Get that out of my face." Dustin groans. I lower the flashlight. "It's not a prank. It's real. It's really real!"

Dustin rolls his eyes as Steve speaks, "You got a key for this thing?"

He throws him the keys and Steve pulls open the doors.

I shine the flashlight down the dark cellar as the three of us stare down the stairs.

"He must be further down there." Dustin tells us. "I'll stay up here incase he tries to escape."

Steve gives Dustin a look, shaking his head, before turning back down to the cellar.

"What even is this thing we're looking for?" Steve asks Dustin.

"A creature from another dimension." Dustin says nonchalantly.

"It looks like a slug." I tell Steve.

"No he doesn't." Dustin disagrees.

"What are you talking about? You told me it looked like a slug!" I argue.
