Seeing the young man being led to a prominent seat at the table, the rest of the masters were even more certain of his status. However, the newcomer clearly wasn't interested in any small talk though and the masters exchanged glances. Finally the master with the long whiskers seated next to WeiXi spoke up: "Mr. Lu, we've been looking forward to meeting you for a long time."

WeiXi tossed him a glance. "Who are you talking about?"

"Eh?" The master with the long whiskers gaped at him. "Are you not the Lu family descendent Mr. Lin invited? Why can't I call you Mr. Lu?"

"What Lu family. What Mr. Lu." WeiXi frowned. "I am the 62nd Head of the TaiCang Sect, WeiXi."

Tai....TaiCang Sect? What kind of Sect is that?

Everyone at the table exchanged glances again. Realizing that none of them recognized this name, all of their expressions changed.

The master with the long whiskers furled his brows, baffled, and asked: "If you're not Mr. Lu, what are you doing here?"

WeiXi picked up his chopsticks. His eyes scanned across the table full of food, and then looked to the not far door frame where even more delicious smells were pouring out.

He answered naturally: "Of course I'm here to eat."

And then just as expected, he started to eat.

This guy was acting like no one else was around and the rest of the table was speechless. This feast was only meant for them to conserve strength and store up energy before the job, who really comes just to eat? But WeiXi didn't just eat; he was concentrated, motivated, chopsticks hitting their mark precisely each time. He even spared a bit of attention to call to his companion: "What are you staring into space for?"

As he somehow some way ended up as someone's disciple, Tuan JieYi just couldn't break out of a daze. WeiXi saw that he still hasn't touched his chopsticks and couldn't help but frown. He thought that his new disciple was great in every way, but just a little slow in the head. The whole way here, he couldn't find a hint of the smooth talking slick young man from before, but instead someone who kept staring into space like a lost soul. He's probably still in shock from the sheer ecstasy of finding a new shifu.

And this shifu he's found is already more legit than WeiDeDao was. He didn't order his disciple to go hunt for food and even took his disciple with him to eat and drink. With a shifu like this, this disciple can't be blamed if he lost himself in happiness.

WeiDeDao should do well to learn a little something from here.

The other people at the table realized that the the "Lu" family member they were hoping for wasn't him and were deeply disappointed. On top of that, they had never heard of this so-called 'TaiCang' Sect, so who knows what kind of wild chicken sect it is. All the excitement from before had vanished without a trace.

The old master with the long whiskers didn't bother being as courteous as before. He frowned with disgust and scooted away from the two, shook his head and looked toward the sorceress next to him and complained, "The Lin family is actually willing to host this kind of person, I really don't know what they're thinking."

He turned his body and positioned himself like the leader of the group. Who would have thought that WeiXi wouldn't pay him any attention and instead buried himself in the task of consuming everything. In the blink of an eye, he had cleaned off more than half of the dishes on the table. The old master was angered. He puffed his mustache and glared: "How dare you!"

The sorceress couldn't help but notice WeiXi's skinny figure and flat midriff, unable to believe how he was able to easily demolish this table of food and drinks. The remaining half of the dishes were gradually disappearing too and the look in her eyes were gradually turning from impressed to shocked.
