It was a bit before the men had to come, so it would just be you and Ryuzaki for the remainder of the time. Although Ryuzaki was with you all night, you could tell that he hadn't slept.
His eyes were wider and the dark bags under them were more prominent than usual. What's making him like this?
Even though he acted calm most of the time, you knew that he was shaken from what happened yesterday. From what you saw, he was definitely scared.
You walk into the main sitting area, seeing Ryuzaki laying down on the couch. His thumb hanging from his mouth and his eyes seemingly glued to the roof.
His eyebrows would furrow every so often. Whatever he was thinking about, he sure was contradicting a lot of it.

Or maybe he just didn't know what emotion to feel about it...

Whatever the case, you walk over to the couch and sit beside him on the floor.
He doesn't move an inch.

"Ryuzaki....?" You ask quietly, gently nudging his shoulder

Still, he doesn't move. It's like you weren't even there.

You sighed, and quietly lay your head down in the small space of the couch next to him that he didn't cover

At this moment, you hear him mumbling something you can't comprehend. You don't move your head, you just sit and listen to his voice.

But then, his hand meets your cheek.

You look up to the raven's eyes meeting yours

"What's the matter?"

You smile and shake your head
"I feel like it should be me asking you that, Ryuzaki."

He stares at you and turns back his gaze to the ceiling
"I've...been thinking." He says in a quieted tone

"Huh?.."

He turns back to you, suddenly picking you up by the waist and pulling you on top of him, your back to his chest

You freeze with widened eyes, your heart beat so swiftly

He smiled at your reaction, holding you close to his chest while your head rested on his collarbone
Like this, you could feel his heart beat. You didn't mind, actually.

"Quite frankly, I've been thinking about you, (Y/N)."

You blush and turn you head to barely face him
"A-About what.."

"Your safety as my assistant and lover."

Lover...

I like the sound of that... You thought

"What... do you mean?"

"Ever since yesterday, i've actually been kind of...paranoid. I cannot stop thinking about the possibilities of what could happen to us."

You turn your entire body around, now facing him with a frown
He stares at you with raised eyebrows

This time, you put your arms around him, snuggling your face into his sweater
"Don't think of stuff like that... you're just making yourself feel worse... i'm here now, aren't I? I'm not leaving you anytime soon."

He smiles as his hand rubs your back, lovingly
"I guess you're right..."

He moves your hair out of your face and quickly pecks your lips with his own

You both giggle as if you were little kids

"It's almost time before the men arrive..." He says quietly with a smile, running his bony fingers through your hair

"What do you want to do..?" You ask

He smiles and brings you closer into a passionate kiss that could almost make you melt.
