Renjun could only stare at him, not being able to even say another word. He didn't have a choice, he already knew it from the moment Lucas started speaking, so the boy accepted the deal.

"But." Renjun said and stood up. "You need to offer me protection."

Lucas chuckled and got up from the chair as well. Being shorter, made him look up so he could meet those dangerous eyes of the prince and he felt so small under his gaze.

"Protection from what?"

Renjun chuckled, trying to show him he was more amused by that stupid question than scared. He backed away and took a silver knife Taeil kept in his collection.

"I want to be protected by all those charms faeries can do here."

Lucas took the knife from his small hand and nodded. At least he agreed with this and didn't complain at all. Renjun stretched out his hand and when Lucas's hand took his, the boy felt shivers down his spine. Once the deal was made there was no way going back and they both knew it, maybe that's why that evil smirk formed Lucas's lips.

The blade made a long cut in his pale palm and the red blood started dripping from the wound. The prince cut his palm too and when they shook hands, he said the words that would offer the human protection.

"From now on, I, prince Lucas, offer you protection. No faerie can charm you or use you in horrible ways except me, your master."

Renjun didn't know why he felt so shocked when Lucas finished. Maybe because he called himself the boy's master and he had to deal with it in his ways from now on.

The young man watched him put the knife which still had their blood on it, on Taeil's desk. His hand was already starting to heal, but Renjun's was actually bleeding more. He started looking around, for anything he could use to stop the blood from leaving his body, but as Renjun expected, his father didn't have anything in his stupid office.

"Give me your hand." The prince said and the boy looked up at him. "Now or you'll die before even starting working for me."

With no complaints, Renjun let him grab his hand and frowned when he felt something invisible tickle his skin. Magic, Renjun thought and in a few seconds, there was only a silver scar in the middle of it.

"Thank you." He said and bowed his head, to show the prince his respect and gratitude.

"You should start packing little human."

Renjun's eyes went wide. He never remembered that they talked about him leaving this house at all, but when his eyes met Lucas's face, the male realized he was being serious.

"B-But..."

"You thought you'll just keep on living here?" Lucas laughed and shook his head. "Sweetheart, when I own something, that something comes with me and lives with me."

Renjun felt his throat dry all of a sudden, but he managed to nod in reply.

"Good, now go upstairs and pack the things you need the most. I'll talk to your father until you're done."

Renjun found himself throwing clothes into a bag and he couldn't help but feel annoyed by himself. How could he be so stupid? At least he should have begged the prince to let him stay there, with his brothers.

A knock at the door made Renjun look up and he sighed when he saw Chenle there, with a pout forming his pink lips.

"What is the reason the prince is here actually? I know he's hiding something and he's not actually..."

"Whatever he tells Taeil he's right okay? I won't be gone for too long so stop thinking he's here to take me away forever."

Renjun didn't know if he would be able to live in that house anymore and he hated himself for lying to the younger. He didn't even know if he'll live with Lucas permanently, but for Chenle's sake, the older had to act like what he just told him was true.

Chenle sighed, but from the look he had on his face Renjun knew he was done asking questions.

"Now help me pack my stuff okay?"

By the time the sky started to become dark, they arrived at Lucas's home. It was smaller than the Grand Palace, but it looked similar which made Renjun feel weird.

He followed Lucas in silence, being too busy looking around the golden corridors filled with multiple green plants and flowers.

Some servants bowed their heads before him and the boy couldn't help but notice that they were humans too.

"So I'll be like them?" He asked the prince after they walked past three servants in white clothes.

Lucas chuckled and opened a pair of golden doors which led them to his office.

"You're special Renjun, unlike them."

The boy stopped and watched the prince as he sat down at a table.

"Really special actually." He smirked at the human and snapped his fingers, making a bottle of wine float in the air and pour its red liquid into a glass. "Do you want some?" He asked when he realized that Renjun was staring at him.

"No thank you."

Weird, everything there was weird. The air felt weird too, as if it was thicker and warmer than usual. Renjun furrowed his brows in confusion when he felt something breathe on his neck, right behind him.

Did Lucas have beasts inside his own home?

Renjun turned around, being curious because he wanted to know who was standing behind him, but he regretted everything once his face bumped into a hard chest.

The boy looked up and when he saw that handsome yet cruel face of his, Renjun felt like dying.

"What's the meaning of this?" Jaemin asked in an annoyed tone and his eyes landed on Lucas, who was smirking from his spot at the table.
