13. Emergency (Pt.2)

Harry PoV

it felt like time was standing still. I held Belle so tight in my arms as sirens blared above my head and the blue light was reflected back into my face. i just sat here filled with fear and guilt

I can hear Cal in the background talking to Lucy on the phone and i can faintly hear her crying already as he explains everything. I am listening as I look down at Belle who is just staring back at me. she just had the look of help in her eyes and i was useless to her and i feel like i failed them both. I was on the brink of tears then, the paramedic grabbed my attention

''so, I am going to attempt to get a canula into Belle's hand now so that it is easy for doctors to access. and it is also generally calmer as you hold her now and it isn't rushed when you get to the hospital, okay?'' the paramedic asked me

''yeah go for it'' I adjusted Belle and took her arm out of the blanket and she started to stress already. as the paramedic put the needle into her arm and she screamed my heart just broke for her. i couldn't look at her as she cried but i just held her tighter and rubbed her cheeks in an attempt to calm her

''okay, all done! I have also put in a really small dose of diazepam so that it will prevent her seizing again hopefully. it might make her a bit sleepier but its nothing to worry about''

''thank you'' I told him as a tear dropped from my cheek and Belle started to grab at my neck

''what is she doing to your neck?'' Cal asks me

''she always does it when she is upset. she reaches for a necklace because Lucy always wears one''

''oh right'' he replies as i give her my hoodie string to grab instead

''what did Lucy say? is she angry?''

''Lucy knows everything, she is upset but definitely not angry. she said that she is getting a taxi now and will call me back when she gets there so she can find us.'' cal told me and i just slightly smiled at him as i had nothing to say

''dada. dada'' Belle called for me in a really sad tone

''hi baby, its okay'' I kissed her cheek and just put my head back into the chair 

Lucy PoV

I went outside to answer my phone as Harry's number popped up and I expected him to ask a stupid question but instead i Heard sirens and belle crying in the background. it is the phone call I never that I never wanted to have. all I know is that she was seizing and I need to get to the hospital. i walked back over to Talia and Freya with tears falling down my face

''what's wrong?'' Talia asks me

''It's Belle, she is on her way to A&E after seizing and I have to go and meet Harry there''

''oh my god, what''s wrong with her?'' Freya asks

''I don't really know, she isn't seizing anymore but we don't know the cause and she has never done it before''

''okay, I'll call you a taxi, do you want us to come with you?'' freya asks

''no, don't worry i'll just go by myself'' I told them before I walked outside to wait for the car to come.

30 minutes later I found myself crying in the back of a Taxi on my way to A&E whilst I am all dressed up. i have no idea what is going to happen from now on and it is so scary. i haven't been this scared ever. not even when Belle was 7 weeks premature and was in the NICU, i just knew that she was okay and would pull through and i was almost prepared for that to happen but this has caught me off guard. But, I do know that she will be okay, I just know it.
