19. Drunken night

Harry PoV

after getting up to the flat josh and i went down to Talia's car to bring up the travel cot. we brought it up and unpackaged it in the living room, everyone laughed as we struggled.

''the box says, put it up in three easy movements'' josh told me as i pulled it out of the box

''okay great'' i told him and we started to follow the box but we just couldn't do it.

''do you want me to do it?'' Lucy asks us but we turn it down because we are determined

''look, lads follow the box. just snap it down'' Ethan adds

''we are doing that but it doesn't work'' josh tells him as he snaps. Ethan then comes over and we got it to be right

''yes then'' josh celebrated then we all watched it fold back again without us touching it, then everyone laughs.

''right, move out my way'' Lucy comes over and puts it up so easily showing us all up. we all wait for it to fold back but it doesn't happen.

''how did you do that?'' Ethan asks

''i am just experienced, i always do this by myself and it took three of you 'tough men' to do it but even then you could have crushed Belle''

''anyway, lets move on'' Josh adds before walking away

''i need to put Belle down then and when i get back i need a drink, and a strong one''

''no, let me do it but i need people to move the cot for me'' i told her as i grabbed Belle from the couch and her sleepy body hang right on me

''are you sure?'' she asks me taken by surprised

''of course, it's your night off ill do it'' 

''thank you''

''okay Belle. say bye bye'' i tell her as i wave to everyone in the room and they wave back

''bye'' she shouts to everyone

I walked off to my room with Belle with Ethan and Josh carrying the cot behind me.

Lucy PoV

It was a nice feeling to actually be relaxed, but more than last night because i was still here with her. As Harry left with Belle i got up and started to drink as i also snacked, the happiest i have been in a while. After one or two i could already finding myself feeling drunk.

Harry PoV

as i walked back in the room i noticed that Lucy was drunk. It really took me back to when we were together, most of our relationship, as bad as it sounds, we were drunk at the weekends. and most weekdays. she walked over to me whilst walking unbalanced.

''hey'' she tells me as she falls onto me

''hey, what are you drinking then?''

''vodka then shots, shots. and more shots.''

''wow, look at you''

''i know''

some time passed, everyone else had left to go home. Through the night, i just watched Lucy get more drunk by the second. by the end of the night i helped her upstairs to my room and onto my bed.

''hey, we should have more shots''

''no, no more because you will regret it tomorrow''

''wow, aren't you boring'' she says as she lies down and i pull the blanket over her

''i'm just a grown up now and believe it or not so are you'' i walked over to check on Belle who was fast asleep

''don't go. come lie down with me''

''no Lucy. we are just friends, and friends don't do that''

''we aren't friends so it's okay'' Lucy whispers as she moves to the side to make room for me

''just come lie with me Harry'' she puts her arms out for me to hug her

''fine, but only for a little bit'' i went and lied down next to her and she put her head on my chest and her arm over my waist, i was planning to leave once she fell sleep.
