║ Chapter 21 ║

All of you were currently inside a black car with Kunikida driving as fast and steady, seated in the passenger seat was none other than your brother as both you and Atsushi sat at the back.

You stare out the window of the car as you watch buildings and civilians pass by. Lost in your thoughts your mind went back from the phone call with Ranpo earlier.

"Clock is ticking, do you know where the bomb is?" Kunikida asks as all you gathered around Atsushi's phone that liag on that table on speaker.

From the other side all of you heard Ranpo sigh "You know I was looking forward into sight seeing in Kyuushuu after I solved my case, you all disappoint me."

You pout as you move closer to the phone to speak "Aww Ranpo don't be a meanie~ We need you, so people in the city won't die~" You sang

A chuckle erupted from the other side of the phone which made you grin "You can't conduct a single investigation without me."

"That's true so will you please help us~?" You said with a pleading voice, hearing this was music to Dazai, Kunikida and Atsushi's ears.

Even Ranpo from the other side of the phone couldn't't help but feel a small blush on his face. You sound so adorable.

"We only have till sundown please tell us the location" Your brother that sat beside you said.

"The fishing tackle store" Ranpo answered as all of you perk up.

"The bomb is in the Fishing Tackle Store in Negishi" Ranpo informs.

Your brother smiled at this as he sat straight "Sure that makes sense"

"Thanks you're amazing as always Ranpo~!" You said with a grin.

Unbeknownst to you, from the other side of the phone Ranpo felt several arrow shot through his chest as his face flush a light pink.

Ranpo always likes it when he receives praises but what he love is when you were the one praising him. He couldn't help but let a small smile grace his lips as he ended the call.

"Ahh~ Maybe I'll take [Y/n] here next time if can~" He says to himself

You then snap out of you thoughts as you turn your head to Atsushi when you heard his voice.

"Why does he think the bomb is in a Fishing Tackle Store?" The tiger shifter asks.

"Wheres the map?" Dazai asks as he glance at Kunikida who continues driving.

Without taking his eyes off the road Kunikida answers "Behind the Driver's seat, just in front of [Y/n]"

You glance down and spot the folded map. As you were about to grab it both yours and Atsushi's fingers touch.

Atsushi immediately retracted his hand back his face flushing red from simply having to touch your hand.

You couldn't help but giggle at this as you took the map and handed it over to the tiger shifter.

"Here you go Atsu-chan~!"

Atsushi swears that he could feel his face leeting out steam as he took the map with shaky hands, stammering a reply.

"T-Thank you, [Y/n]"

Dazai chuckles as he leans back on the chair. "Look on page 97"

"Page 97?" Atsushi asks as he started going to the said page.

"The terrorist's target is the petrochemical complex" You answer as both you and Atsushi were looking on the map.

"Right you are [Y/n]~" Dazai sang as you smile at him.

"Of course I didn't know why I think of that" Kunikida said.

"Yokohama is known for being one of Japan's major port towns, next to the shipping dock in the water front there are many large facilities that store oil and gas. If an explosion were to occur close to enough to ignite the storage tanks..." Dazai trails off.

"The entire port will be engulf in flames" You finish.

"However infiltrating a storage facility would be hard. They're all protected by extremely tight security. But there could be one other way" Dazai explained looking over at the back to you and Atsushi.

You lean back on your seat while crossing your arms over your chess as you continue the explanation.

"A Terrorist can hide bombs inside a car and leave the vehicle in one of the storage tanks when its full."

"Considering the effective range of a bomb that can be put in a car, that Fishing Tackle Store's parking lot is the perfect place to leave the explosive" Kunikida concluded as both you and your brother smirk as both of sing in chorus.

"Bingo~"

Then Dazai's phone starts ringing and your brother pulls it out of his pocket and answers it.

Not too long it ended as he close his phone "The Military's Bomb Squad has the device but there's still a problem. It's connected to a motion sensing timer. They don't think they'll be able to disarm it before sun down."

You notice Atsushi's mood turn gloomy and frown a little as all of you continue to listen to your brother.

"They've started evacuating nearby residence but they're not sure if its enough time."

"Oh no..." Atsushi lets out as you couldn't help but lift your hand up and pat his head.

Atsushi lightly flinch at this but didn't move away. Your gesture was pretty soothing.

"There still hope, they said that we can deactivate the bomb. If we can transmit a remote stop signal to it." Dazai spoke up as he glance at Kunikida.

"How do we do that!?" He asks clearly frustrated.

But as if realizing something, Kunikida gasps and quickly stops the car to a halt.

Your back was then press onto the side of the car while poor Atsushi's face somehow ended up press on your chest.

When the vehicle stops Atsushi's eyes widened in realization as he quickly fainted with blood coming out of his nose.

You couldn't help but giggle at this as you were oblivious at two certain male looking at the unconscious Atsushi with envy.

' Atsushi you lucky bastard! '
