Chapter 10: Hello, My Name Is Papa Jackass

"So you do realize that you can't tell anyone." Blaine said as he sat back down in front of me. The moonlight shone on his chiseled face perfectly, highlighting every detail of his face. The strong jawline, his defined cheek structure, the smoothness of his lips and the cloudiness of his light brown eyes.

"Yeah, I kind of figured that I'd have to keep it a secret." I said slowly.

"And are you?" Blaine asked curiously as he arched his brow.

I thought for a second, placing my pointer finger on my chin. "Depends."

"On?"

"Do you want me to keep it a secret?" I asked. Blaine fell silent. I could tell he was in a mental debate with himself and I couldn't help but be curious as to what he was thinking.

"I don't know." Blaine said after a few moments of silence.

"You don't know?" I repeated. "Why not?"

He sighed. "Because, I don't know what I want more."

I cocked my head. "And what are your choices?"

Blaine met my eyes and I smoldered under it's gaze making my stomach twist into knots. I wondered if he felt the same thing? When he held my hand, did he notice the blazing fire? Did his stomach knot every time we locked eyes? If he did feel those things, he has no way of showing it. His expression never changed, indicating that there wasn't any tingling sensation in his body.

Maybe it was only me. Or my mind playing tricks on me, just like it did all those years ago. These feelings were all the same emotions I felt when I screwed up my first real relationship and now I don't think I can handle going through the same pain and heartbreak that comes after. However, part of me was willing to see what these feelings even mean.

But that's what scares me the most.

"Well one isn't my choice." Blaine said dully after a few moments of silence.

"It's your dads." I said for him.

He nodded. "I want to make him happy and right now the only way I can do that is to date Anna."

"I'm sorry, but that's pretty messed up of your dad. You know, forcing you to date someone."

He shrugged. "I know."

"Especially making someone date Anna. That has to be torture."

Blaine laughed. "Oh you have no idea."

I couldn't help but admire his laugh and way his eyes lit up as he did so. Maybe it's the moonlight that is making me feel like this because talking under the moonlight is always romantic.

"Uh," I started. "What's the other thing?"

"To make myself happy."

"Well, isnt it obvious which one you should choose?"

Blaine shrugged. "Yeah but you don't know my dad. This school is like his baby. Ever since I was a little kid, my dad has been the dean and worked to keep it up and he won't let anything get in his way."

"But you're his son!" I said all of a sudden getting really angry. "Screw the school! Shouldn't he care about his actual son instead of a stupid school."
