I thought

7 1 1

I thought about it,  a few seconds after our lips met
I thought about it, at the family meal in coast to coast
I thought about it, during my graduation toast
I wished I stopped thinking the most
I thought about it during my interviews
I thought about it when the plane took off
I thought about it when the plane landed
I thought about it when the unfamiliar air hit my lungs
I thought about it, through all the opportunities I was handed
I thought about it when the curtains opened
I thought about it when the artist sung their first note
I thought about it when I laid underneath the stars
I thought about it as I lay upon on the waves on my float
I thought about it, when we made love
I thought about it, throughout my 8 hour sleeps
I thought about it when I was drunk and high
I thought about it upon first meets
I thought about it, during the labour of my godchild
I thought about it, whilst I destructively medicated
I thought about it, whilst I fought the urge to think about it
I thought about it, whilst I sheepishly meditated

I thought about it all the blasted time,
I thought about how desperate I was to stop
But I couldn't stop mind-numbingly thinking about it
I thought about how if I kept thinking about it, my mind would burst and pop.

That's the problem,

I always thought about it.
