"I'm the one putting aside my happiness for the sake of others and not once do you do the same" she hissed out before realising: "Maybe Hinata, but she's always been so kind. Shikamaru is too lazy to do anything. You and the team though, abandoned me when I needed you all the most. So much pain I hid from you all, just to see you happy and smiling. The team that was supposed to support and care for me was nowhere when I burdened myself to the point I felt nothing and accepted it" Naruto gripped her arms tightly as her heart restricted.
"If Sasuke really does love me, he never would have abandoned me in the first place" she spat out.
"I feel so stupid. Forgiving you all time and time again hoping you'd change. When I left the village a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and I felt so...." a bittersweet smile graced her features.

"I wouldn't have much longer to live anyway. My eyes are slowly killing me, I couldn't burden Naruko with such a thing" Itachi rebutted. "Thank you for the consideration Jiraiya-sama. I would have taken care of her dutifully"
