Love Bound

Chapter 21: Departure

Wang Li Wei, the husband of Zhui Li and father of Yibo and Fanxing arrived at the hospital with Mr. Kim who picked him up in the airport. The first thing he do was to visit Zhui Li's room who was soundly sleeping tightly gripping on Yibo's hand. She didn't want to let go of it until she fell asleep and so Yibo stayed besides his mother's room for a while. Xiao Zhan was also inside the room but he's sitting on the sofa and just waiting for something to happen.

Yibo hugged his father the moment he arrived. Li Wei's eyes were so red and looks tired. He obviously has no sleep and thinking about the situation of his family. For the first time, Xiao Zhan meet Yibo's father and he looked masculine and handsome, the good genes are really flowing in their family. He only saw him in the picture and he always think that he resembles Fanxing while Yibo resembles his Zhui Li.

"Good day, I am Xiao Zhan." He introduced himself to him.

"Yeah, I heard about you from Fanxing." Li Wei replied. "You're my wife's assistant and also a close friend to my sons?"

Yibo comes closer and said "Xiao Zhan is actually my..." but Xiao Zhan interjected to what he is about to say.

"Yeah, I am their close friend." He replied back to him. Xiao Zhan stared at Yibo and signal him that it's not the right moment to tell his father that they are in relationship. They already have so many problems and he didn't want to add more to it by revealing the truth that his high school son is dating him. "It is unfortunate to meet you like this." He told Li Wei.

"True, this was so unexpected." Yibo's father replied. After that little greetings, Yibo joined his father in visiting Fanxing in the ICU. A few hours before his father arrived, the doctor told them that Fanxing has positive response, he slightly gained consciousness and that gives hope to everyone.

Yibo and Li Wei watched Fanxing outside of the glass room. There are so many machines besides the little boy to help him live. It's tormenting to see the younger Wang being that way plus the fact that he might have a trauma and amnesia because of what happened was so unfortunate for him but even they wanted to help, they can't do anything much but just to stay besides them and pray for their total recovery.

"Yibo, you're going to graduate high school already right?" Li Wei started a conversation.

"I do."

"Why don't you study college in the US then?" Li Wei asked him. "I've been thinking about this, I know that Zhui Li wanted to stay here but in the situation she was in its better if she leave this place and restart her life. I heard everything from Mr. Kim, she's suffering severe depression and the more she stay in a place that triggers it will make it worst. Your mother needs to rest and also Fanxing too. US has an advance way to treat them so I plan to bring everyone of you back to US with me."

Yibo freeze in his position for a moment. That decision was so sudden and it really didn't reach his mind. "D...dad, isn't that...?"

"It's for your own good. In US we can be all together and have a happy life." Li Wei replied. "I'll talk to Zhui Li about this once she woke up. Actually, I already fix all your papers and passport before I came here, I just let my assistant do the follow ups. Ones Fanxing woke up, we will depart." He told him like his decision was already finally and cannot be change anymore.

Yibo can understand his father's decision. He knew that his mother needed a new environment to recover and not be affective by negative things again. US is so far from China, they are opposite part of the globe thus they will really be away from everything and everyone; he will be separated from the people he became friends with in his school and most specially to Xiao Zhan.

Li Wei told Yibo to go back home since he need to go to school the next day. He volunteered to stay to look after Zhui Li and Fanxing together with Mr. Kim. Xiao Zhan volunteered to drive Yibo back home but the whole time they are in the road, Yibo was in silent. Xiao Zhan wondered why he was so silent or he must be tired after everything that happened that day.
