when you and walter first met. you and laura fairlie, your childhood friend, were talking in her bedroom when you heard a knock on the door. after a moment or two, the door opened and in came a man with blonde hair. he looked at laura then at you, the expression on his face was a surprised one. you immediately had to cover your face from blushing so much, because one, you were currently wearing boys clothes and two he was so handsome. he had chocolate brown eyes and golden hair as fine as the greek gods themselves had spun it on a spinning wheel. you soon realized that this was the mysterious walter laura had talked so much about in her letters. your mental reading were quietly interrupted when walter said,
"miss laura, your sister asked me to come get you. who is this?" he asked.
"this is my friend, y/n. she lives in the manor a couple of miles from here, but she came to visit me directly from her finishing school in paris. she was just telling me all about her nightly adventures in the city." laura answers.
you finally remembered why you were in her bedroom. you indeed had been talking to her about your nightly adventures in the city of love and you quickly reassured her that you didn't go alone. you always went with your older brother, sherlock holmes. when you arrived in paris without your parents, you were relieved to see familiar face. you both agreed that it was quite easy to escape from your finishing school. when you did, you always went to sherlock's flat who would wait for you with a change of clothes, specifically boy clothes. you finally left your long trail of thoughts and said,
"which i abhor with all my heart, but my nightly adventures with sherlock make up for it." you sassed, "laura, who is this?" you asked.
"y/n this is my art tutor and dear friend, walter hartright. i will leave you two be and see what marian wants of me." laura leaves her bedroom. when she closed the door you said,
"so your the mysterious walter that laura always seems to talk so much about in her letters, it's great to put a face to the name."
walter took one look at you and knew immediately that he fancied you. when you talked, you always went straight to the point and he liked that the most about you. other than that, he thought you were the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
