The Killer Duo// Mattheo Riddle

Part 28

      3 weeks later (Wednesday)

           "Welcome, Emerald, I see you are wondering why I have asked for your presence," said the Dark Lords' chilling voice that made my heart beat faster out of my chest.

"Yes, my lord," I said trying to be fierce with my words but he made it hard, he's never asked for just me, he usually asks for Draco, Riddle, and I.

"You would do anything for your Lord, correct?" he said

"Yes, say the words and your wish is my command," I said looking down at my feet

"Kill Mattheo," he said as I snapped my head up looking at him confused

"You want me to kill, kill your son?" I asked confused,

"I will always be the Dark Lord, I  can't have him stealing my title," he said smiling evilly at me while twirling his wand between his fingers

"You're afraid of your son, you're afraid of a little boy?" I mocked him, I felt a searing pain traveling through my body until it reached my head and I started screaming, the cruciatus curse.

"You will obey me, or else I will ruin your life" he snarled before taking the curse off of me leaving me on the floor coughing repeatedly. "Kill him, or I will kill you both" he snapped before disappearing.

I apparated outside the gates of Hogwarts then walked inside the castle, holding onto my neck. I made my way to the Slytherin common room, straightening my posture and smoothing out the wrinkles in my black dress. I walked into the common room expecting to be met with loud chatter, and students walking around the common room, but it was the opposite. Nobody was there, it was complete, dead silence, nobody there I walked straight in and was walking towards the girl's dormitories until the one person who I was tasked to kill spoke.

"How did the meeting go?" He asked, his voice coming from the back, dark corner, he walked out with a book in his hand looking down at me as he closed his book.

"It was well" I tried to smile but it faltered

"What happened?" He asked looking into my eyes, Legilimency, I blocked out my mind as he raised an eyebrow at me.

"Nothing, now if you will excuse me I will make my way to bed," I said walking away as he stared at me, "Goodnight, Romeo"

"Goodnight, Liar" he mumbled

       I stayed up all night trying to figure out the best plan to uh, kill Riddle. I grabbed my quill laying on my desk and a piece of parchment from my desk drawer then started writing.

Step One: Make Riddle trust me

Step Two: Kill Riddle

Two easy steps, it's not that hard, right? I stuffed the paper in my satchel and walked to class, I looked around and met eyes with Riddle in the back corner staring at me trying to figure me out.

Mattheo POV

    2 days ago (Monday)

    "You asked for me Father" I stated

"Yes, my dear son, I have a task for you," he said

"What task?"

"Kill" he smiled evilly as I smirked "Emerald Blackwood" once that name dropped out of his mouth my smirk faltered but I couldn't show him that,

"You have affection for her, just like she does too," he said circling me like I was his prey

"Father, you must be mistaken, we do not have any drop of sympathy for each other at all," I said trying to convince my Father, but I was trying to convince myself.

1 day later (Wednesday)

I watched Blackwood as she walked into the classroom, she turned around and met my eyes staring at her. She walked towards me,

"Why do you keep on staring at me?" She asked to smirk

"I'm trying to figure out why you so annoying," I said leaning back into my chair and smirking back at her as she frowned then walked away

               I sat at the Astronomy Tower, thinking, I wouldn't have to deal with this if I just jumped. I stood up and swung one leg around the rail then the next,

"Riddle" a voice came from behind me, Blackwood

"Yes?"

"Get off the railing," she said as I felt a hand grab my hand then pull me towards her,

"Don't touch me" I said pushing her hand away

She put her leg around the railing then she was on the same side of me,

"Go back, Blackwood" I snarled

"No," she said being stubborn, I hopped over to the other side

"Come here-" she took a step back, and she went falling, I grabbed her waist and puller he to my chest. She was breathing hard with her head on my chest,

"Mattheo," she whispered hugging onto me as I picked up her and put her on my side of the railing

"Shhh, it's ok I've got you" I whispered smoothing her ginger hair back and out of her face

"I'-I'm so sorry," she said looking up at me

"I'm sorry too," I said looking down at her, she started leaning in and I leaned in too. I realized what I was doing and backed away, "It's been a long day, you should go to sleep," I said helping her stand up.

"Yes, yes I'm going, Goodnight," she said standing up and walking away

"Goodnight," I said standing there grabbing a cigarette out of my pocket and lighting it, shit.
