"Use the staff to propel you in the air then send a high right leg kick to the ball." Zihao commanded as he walked around the first year. Today's lesson was a review in hand-to-hand combat, the lesson wasn't as intense as usual since of the one-on-one fights yesterday. Honestly, Zihao was very proud of how Shinsou preformed. Due to the amount of advancements he showed, L/n had Shinsou training with a metal staff so he could better adapt to using tools. "Put your weight into the pole, trust yourself to lift off the ground." He told the boy as he created a makeshift smoke bed in case he fell. "Good, good. Do it again but throw yourself higher. Once you do that we'll be done for today."
"L/n am I showing any improvement?" The purple hair boy asked. His legs were crossed as he sat on the floor. His breathing was a little irregular as he tried to lower his heart rate. The staff laid next to him.
Zihao raised an eyebrow at the boy and threw him a water bottle. "Really? Kid look at you. The first day you came here you couldn't even talk after your drills. But right now, you're barely out of breath."
Shinsou smiled softly at the answer, the two silently agreed not to talk very much during their time together. So, when they did talk it was refreshing to hear the male's words of encouragement. That is when he got past the bullying.
"But is it enough to get into the hero course?" His gaze tilted down as insecurities filled his brain. He knew Zihao wouldn't tell him empty words, but he couldn't help the lack of trust he had in himself. It was all new to him, having someone believe in him. It still took him a lot of energy to convince himself that Zihao was on his side.
