John lost Draco as soon as breakfast was over, doing his damnedest to find Hogwart's trouble trio before classes started.

The had McGonagall's next, so that's where he's starting.

The mage sped past passing students, making his way through the halls and up the stairs.

He slowed before entering, panting as he looked over the mostly empty class.

He sighed with relief when seeing the familiar ebony head.

"Harry mate!"
John hopped to the front desks.

"John!"
"Hello John!"

"Ron, 'ermione. How are you lot fairin'?"

They shrugged, looking towards one another.

"We've been alright so far, John."
The young witch sighed.

The blond nodded, slightly hesitant to bring up the other night.

"Harry, lad, I don't mean to pry or nothin' but-what the bloody hell happened?"
He incited a wince from all three.
"Whole bloody schools been talkin' 'bout you!"

The Gryffindors didn't speak right away, passing glances of confirmation before answering.

"Harry found Filch's cat."

"So I've heard."

"And this Chamber of Secrets have been opened."

"That I've also heard."

Ron frowned.
"If you already know all this-then why are you askin' us?"

John rolled his eyes.

"Firstly."

He gripped his loose tie, waving around its Green and Silver colors.

"Grain of salt them."
He scoffed.
"And secondly, why wouldn't I ask? While I know none of you lot laid a hand in this-the real cause still hasn't been found yet."

Then he frowned.
"And lastly-I'm your mate aren't I?"

Ron looked down, appearing a little scorned.

"Thanks John...I know you mean well."
Harry assured.
"It's just...well-like you said."

He motioned to his Slytherin colors as well.

"We're all in the same house. You're not really the easiest person the reach."

John nodded, taking the point.

"But nonetheless..."
Hermione started, a little lower now than their classmates had finally started to fill up the room.
"I've done a some digging around in the library-"
"-course you have-OUF-"
Harry elbowed Ron's side.
"-and I've found next to nothing about it. There is a lot of mystery and a plethora of theories behind the Chamber of Secrets...but nothing I've read has been proven concrete."

"Well..."
John titled his head.
"Nothin' concrete outta the non-restricted area anyways..."

"Exactly."
Hermione agreed as the bell rung above their heads.
"I was hoping to ask Professor McGonagall more."

John nodded, saying his farewells before moving towards one of the empty seats near the back.

"May I have your attention please?
The elder witch appeared from her office, walking to the front of her desk with her usual grace.
"Right. Now, today, we will be transforming animals into water goblets."
