Dove watched over Peeta's shoulder as he drew another map in a leaf, adding a JJ for jabberjays in the four-to-five-o'clock section and the word beast in the section where the body was collected mere moments ago. The jabberjays' attack had something positive, it allowed them to know in which section they were.

When the agitation was over, Dove sat on the sand as she saw Finnick, who was next to her, weaving another water basket and a net for fishing. Normally, she would be in charge of doing that, but he wanted her to rest her arm. And, he definitely needed something to distract himself after the voices. Glancing at her upper arm, she saw as the bandages were still soaked from falling into the water before.

The bandage roll barely had anything left for Finnick's wound, which still needed to be bandaged. She could only take her own off and dry it while the sun was still up in the sky. Luckily, the wound wasn't infected, and the scab was mostly formed. Beetee, who stared at the new map intensely, agreed to keep an eye on the bandage while she went back to help Finnick get the food.

"Hey," Dove said, moving closer to Finnick as he finished the net. "Need any help?" She asked, seeing as he seemed too concentrated on the net to be aware of his surroundings. Having allies got his guard lowered to the minimum.

"No. It's all right." He replied, glancing for the first time in her direction. "You took off the bandage," he pointed out, seeing as the wound was at full display without any ointment. Katniss had advised not to put it in such a big cut while it was still open. Now that it was nearly completely scabbed, the ointment wouldn't be completely bad.

"OK, if you need anything, I'll be with Katniss, putting on some more ointment, all right?" She commented, kissing his temple before walking to Katniss, who was near them.

"Don't badmouth me again while I'm not looking," Finnick joked as he got up from his seat, winking at the girls before going to catch the fishes for supper.

"I promise nothing," said Dove loudly enough for him to hear, to which he only chuckled. Katniss watched the scene, no longer surprised, but rather amused. "Sorry, did you say something, Katniss?"

"Oh, just if you wanted me to put the ointment on your arm. It'll probably be easier if I do it." Katniss proposed, which Dove accepted right away, raising her arm in front of her ally to get the ointment applied. They laughed a bit as they observed each other, completely covered in ointment again, their skin with the greyish green colour back, although it worked wonders with the scabs from the fog. "I'm going to clean the fishes Finnick is fishing. Want to help?"

"Yeah, not doing anything is driving me insane," Dove giggled. Talking with Katniss wasn't as she expected. When they met, Dove thought she was only an innocent and awkward young girl, but she also had her own character. When they settled down to eat the raw fish with the rest of their allies, the anthem played.

Faces appeared in the sky, some that Dove knew very well, and others who she had never talked to. The first to appear was Cashmere. Then Gloss. Wiress. The woman from 5. Morphling. Blight. And the man from 10.

Seven dead. With the eight from yesterday, it's a total of fifteen in just a day and a half. Dove thought. "They are really burning through us," said Johanna.

"Who's left? Besides us six and District Two?" Finnick asked, grabbing Dove's hand comfortingly while glancing at their allies.

"Chaff," Peeta replied just as a parachute came down with a pile of square-shaped rolls. "These are from your district, right, Beetee?"

"Yes, from District Three," Beetee replied. "How many are there?" he asked, causing Finnick to let go of Dove's hand to count them.

"Twenty-four," Finnick announced. "An even two dozen, then?" asked Beetee, causing Dove to look at him doubtfully. What are they planning now? She thought.
