DAISY ENJOYED MESSAGING WITH CAIUS FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS. At first, she had been a little surprised when she received a message from him just a day after meeting him. She questioned in her mind why someone as striking as Caius would show interest in her but through their messages, it seemed like he was actually interested in knowing her.

Early on Daisy noticed that Caius always responded quickly to her messages and he was always asking more questions about Daisy, her life, and her interests. Each interaction and message left her eager to delve deeper into their connection and as days turned into weeks, Daisy and Caius started to peel away the layers of their lives, sharing their dreams, fears, and past experiences.

When talking to Caius through messages it felt easy because she could think about her responses and she didn't overthink about it but now she was feeling more nervous than ever. The reason was that Caius had asked to meet her again and Daisy had agreed. They had agreed to meet in Port Angeles, where they had met for the first time. The thought of this meeting stirred butterflies in her stomach and made her palms slightly sweaty. She couldn't help but feel nervous about the evening ahead.

As the moment came closer, Daisy tried to calm her nerves by reminding herself of the conversations they shared prior to the meeting.

CAIUS WAS NERVOUS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER. For centuries, he had reveled in darkness, embracing the ruthless nature of his kind. Feared and respected, he had little regard for mortal life, viewing humans as mere playthings to satisfy his eternal thirst. However, there came a day when Caius found himself facing a new and unexpected challenge — a human woman named Daisy.

She possessed a radiant beauty that seemed to glow amidst the darkness, capturing his attention like no other. Caius had known her just for two weeks but he could sense that her heart was filled with kindness and compassion, he was sure that her smile could mend even the deepest wounds. This human girl was able to stir emotions he had long forgotten.

Caius was nervous to see Daisy again. She was the only thing on his mind for the past two weeks. His possessive side was telling him to just take her to Volterra with him but there was a chance that she would never forgive him if he just took her away. So Caius decided to make sure that everything was happening at her pace.

Caius froze in his place when he spotted her, with her radiant smile and enchanting eyes. Caius, captivated by her beauty, felt the world around him fade into insignificance. Their eyes met and they started to head toward each other.

"Hey," Daisy said as she reached him and she could almost feel her heart skipping a beat, but she was drawn toward the enigmatic figure.

"Hey. How was your trip here?" Caius asked. He had offered that he could pick her up from her house but Daisy wanted to arrive in her own car so they had agreed to meet in the town center.
