Jalisa's P.O.V

Tonight's the night and I've never been this nervous. I'm sitting here in this dressing room getting ready and shaking like a leaf. I mean I've been in front of a crowd before, but that was high school.

"Hey, girl," Tabitha entered after she knocked. "I wanted to wish you luck before you go on stage."

"Thanks. I appreciate it." I thanked her as we hugged.

"I'm liking the outfit on you, girl. They hooked you up."

"I know. Do you think it's too much?" I asked unsure about the costume.

"It doesn't look too much to me." said The Artist, standing in the door.

We didn't even hear him walk in, so we don't know how long he stood there.

"I better get going. Tonight's gonna be a full house. I'll see you after the show. Good luck, Jalis." Tabitha  wished me luck before leaving  the dressing room.

Finally alone, The Artist approached me while staring me down. He then focused his attention to my attire.

"It flawlessly accentuates your physique." He said making me blush uncontrollably. "Why so concern?"

"Nervous, I guess." I spoke honestly.

"You'll do great out there." Imagine there is no one watching. There's nothing but you and the music." He said this as he caressed my face.

"Two minutes until showtime, sir." At the door, one of the guards spoke.

"We'll be right there." The Artist assured his bodyguard while keeping his gaze on me.

The Glam Slam was jumping as The Artist and The N.P.G. rocked the club with songs that had everybody on their feet. Furthermore, the crowd enjoyed Jalisa's motion and vocals with the band, as did The Artist, who had his gaze fixed on her.

After the show, Jalisa refused to stop smiling from ear to ear. She is still buzzing from the adrenaline rush of her first on-stage performance. She worked hard to get this far, and she will keep putting in the effort to further her career. She changed out of her costume and into a dress before meeting up with Tabitha and Kelvin.

He could not take the fact that another man was near Jalisa instead of him. The Artist decided that he had seen enough and left the V.I.P., heading backstage to his office as his security followed. He pondered how to deal with the problem that is standing between him and his future lover soon as he sat down at his desk.

Meanwhile, Jalisa  was  touching up her make up in the ladies room.

"So you must be the new girl." A woman standing behind her spoke.

"Who wants to know?" Jalisa asked facing the woman suspiciously.

"Someone who knows that The New Power Generation are the last people you want to know or befriend

"Someone who knows that The New Power Generation are the last people you want to know or befriend. Especially The Artist. Don't even fall for none of his charms or any of his tricks.   Trust me, honey, he is going to make your life a miserable hell."
