This story is a retelling of what things were like under the mountain for Feyre and Rhysand, had they just been trapped instead of Feyre trying to survive her trials. It's a slow burn story of them slowly learning to trust one another despite the horrible circumstances they find themselves in. There will be plentyyyy of smut eventually (faster burn sex, slowww burn love). You will see a lot more of Amarantha's cruelty and Rhysand's abuse. Just as it was with Maas, there will be heavy and triggering topics throughout this entire work. I won't gloss over the trauma and pain Rhysand endures from Amarantha's continual sexual assault. This might be painful to read and quite triggering for some who may be sensitive to SA/non-con/rape or gore and violence. I think SJM really missed the aspect of Rhysand's trauma from 50 years under the mountain, but it will be one of my main focuses here. Enjoy and make sure to let me know what you think! 🩷
