I woke up to the sound of crying, well screaming sounded more fitting for the wails coming out of Noah. My eyes groggily blinked open and it took everything in me to throw off the blankets and put my feet on the ground.

Scott was sleeping beside me, he had work early so I didn't want to wake him. I had to be quick or else-- my thoughts were broken by Olivia's cries joining in. That's what I thought would happen. I let out a sigh that turned into a yawn as I stood from the bed and made my way toward the babies room that was next door to Scott's.

For some reason the twins had recently reverted back to not sleeping through the night. It was so exhausting. Opening the door just amplified the cries.

"Shh," I hushed as I looked down into the cribs that sat beside one another. Their faces were red and angry as they cried up at me. "Oh, what's wrong now?" I asked, rubbing my thumb across Noah's cheek. His cries quieted as he turned his head to my finger, his mouth going wide. I pulled my hand back with a slight smile as he started crying again.

At least this would be a quick fix, he was hungry.

I turned to Olivia next, doing the same and earning a fussy head shake. I frowned, "do you need changed?" I picked her up from the crib gently, turning her so I could check her bottom. Sure enough, the diaper was soaked. Noah's probably was too.

How was I supposed to change both babies and then feed them both at the same time? It was always so difficult to manage without Scott's help. Cause while I was feeding one baby, the other would scream the whole time. It was a sure fire way to give me a migraine.

I looked around the room like a solution would pop up magically. And I suppose one did because in the next moment Scott walked through the door, half asleep, but he was still there. He was wearing shorts and nothing else, which would normally have my cheeks flushing if I wasn't so exhausted and there weren't two screaming babies.

"Did they wake you?" I asked, yawning again.

Scott nodded but moved to take Olivia out of my arms. He placed a kiss to my head as he brought her to his chest, her cries immediately quieting. Such a daddies girl. "It's okay, I'll get her changed while you feed Noah."

It was like he had a sixth sense for what they wanted, it was incredible. I smiled at Scott before bending down to scoop Noah into my arms. His cries quieted into little whines as he wiggled in my arms, his hand moving to grip the neck of my shirt.

I placed a kiss to his head as I sat in the rocking chair, laying him on my lap for a moment while I took my shirt off and unhooked one side of my nursing bra. Once he was settled and happily feeding I relaxed back into the chair, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for helping," I whispered, glad that the room was now mostly quiet aside from Noah's little contented sighs and Olivia's cooing.

Scott looked up at me and smiled, "of course. I'll always be here to help you." And I knew that he would. Scott would always be there for me and that thought brought such a comfort to me I could've cried.

"I love you, Scott McCall," I breathed, a smile pulling at my lips.

His grin grew wider, "and I love you."
