Chapter Twenty-Nine

Coyote's and Panic Attacks

Scott didn't show back up until one thirty, which, of course, he just had to tell me all about what he found.

I blinked my eyes open slowly, a yawn passing through my lips as I sat up in the bed. I swear, that body pillow does wonders. "Scott?" I rubbed the sleep away from my eyes, only to see him standing at the foot of the bed.

"Babe," he breathed the nickname with a small smile on his lips. "I'm glad you're awake, I've got to catch you up on a few things." He then began telling me about how when my dad took him to the preserve, they thought they were looking for a dead body but, now he thinks Malia is a coyote. "So the girl isn't dead? That's great." I yawned again. "Can we go to bed now?"

Scott smiled and nodded with a sheepish look on his face. "Yeah, sorry, I know you haven't been sleeping well." I shook my head, a small smile pulling at my lips, "this pillow is amazing, I'm never sleeping without it."

A grin creeped onto Scott's face as he pulled his shirt over his head, flicking the light off and closing the door after doing so. "Does that mean you'll be staying here more?" I looked down his torso with a small smile on my lips, I was no longer tired.

"I dunno, I might need more convincing." I bit my lip while watching him change from his jeans into his pajama bottoms. Scott sent me a smile, "well, in that case, I'm sure I can convince you."

Let's just say, I slept really good last night. Now, Scott and I are laying in his bed, the sun is just peeking in through the windows. Scott was laying with his head on my chest and his hand was holding my exposed belly while I ran my fingers through his soft, chocolate hair.

"I want her middle name to be Jane." I broke the peaceful silence of the morning. "Since it's both our mothers middle name." I could feel Scott smile at that, "I like Jane." The silence blanketed over us again, but it wasn't uncomfortable, it was peaceful and beautiful.

Stiles would be here soon, to pick Scott and I up for school. Unfortunately, that was still a thing I had to go to.

"What if I end up like my dad?" Scott asked, worry evident in his voice while he sat up and turned toward me. My features softened as I looked over his furrowed brows and slight frown. "I don't think you will, Scott."

Scott sighed, "but, what if it's like genetic? Like, I'm bred to just eventually leave." I frowned, "well, do you want to leave?" Scott, almost immediately shook his head, "no." I nodded, a small smile on my face while I put my hand on his arm. "Then you're already better than him."

I leaned forward and gave him a peck on the lips, "come on, I need to shower before my brother gets here." I said, getting out of the bed. Scott frowned, "why do you need me?" I turned back toward him, halfway to the connected bathroom, an amused look on my face. "I was hoping you'd join me. But, if you don't want to..."
