"Here we go. Scene 70. Take 3. Action"

Stacy sits at his desk, finishing up paperwork from the "Ace" case. He rubs his hand down his face with frustration and relief.  Relieved that everything is over, frustrated that Anais is in the hospital.

The precinct hasn't been the same without her

Davis and Anders walk through, catching Stacy's attention.

"Hey"

They stop

"Thanks for stopping the sniper." Stacy still doesn't understand how the shooter came out of nowhere or who "Ace" was aiming for, that he couldn't get from the inside. There was a full brigade inside the hall but apparently it wasn't enough.

"What sniper?" Anders asks, confused. Davis and Anders give each other a look of curiosity before turning back to Stacy.

"The sniper who shot Anais. Multiple witnesses accounted for it" Stacy says, unable to understand why they weren't aware. Davis shrugs his shoulders in response

"I mean it was a lot going on and we were just trying to get people out alive. We just didn't notice"

Stacy nods in response. He'll give them that. The entire gala was nothing but chaos so of course they wouldn't notice every little thing. However, it doesn't ease the feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"What's up, party people?"

Stacy's head snaps towards the door at the sound of her voice. Anais barely limps through the precinct

"What are you doing here?" Stacy asks, concerned.

"Chill. I got discharged from the hospital. I'm going home to rest, I just left some stuff in my desk."

"I could've brought it for you"

"That would've been too-"

Anais stops mid sentence. Her face scrunches up and Stacy takes note

"What-"

"Shushhhhh. You don't hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"Shhhhh"

By now the precinct gets quiet as they watch Anais. She slowly limps to the wall

"I swear I hear a fucking-"

Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick

"Shit"

BOOM! The wall explodes, sending Anais flying back. Smoke and dust fill the air as people try to move out of the way.

"Anais?!"

Stacy yells through the commotion. He uses his arm to try to shield some of the smoke in his view but the building is on fire. Other cops try to pull Stacy with them towards the exit but he doesn't budge.

"ANAIS?!"

Coughing is heard and Stacy follows but his face contorts with horror at the sight in front of him. Anais lays under the rumble with a giant rock on her body. Blood spills from her mouth and her body jerks

"No. No. No"

Stacy rushes over to try and move the rock but it's too heavy. Anais watches, color draining from her skin

"Stacy... go"

"No"

He continues to try and move the stone but it's too late. Anais goes stiff, making Stacy cry out. David moves through and pulls Stacy through the exit as the flames spread. Smoke fills their airways, making it hard to breathe but that doesn't stops Stacy from trying to fight back
