(A/N: the chapter will go over Satan's past, so her sexual assault and abuse. I know that I'm not going to be 100% accurate so if I'm wrong on anything lmk.)

(A/N: I don't want my book to break any community guidelines cause I read them. So I'm not going to use sensitive words. We know what those are.)

Satan

"I would like to call Satan Fisher to the witness stand," my lawyer says. So I stand up and make my to the stand. I'm signing my answers so there's a translator. Today, we are in court, which is hard. It's been going on for a week now and today they are asking questions from everyone.

Right now, my dad stares at me and it becomes hard to focus on the questions being asked. I try to look away but his eyes burn through the side of my head. "Do you, Satan Fisher swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?"

I nod my head. "Tell me when these events would take place. The ones with your father."

"During the night."

"When did it start?"

"When I was eight, he came into my room and put his hand over my mouth."

"What did he do?"

"He sexually abused me," I sign, memories flooding back. I look at Angel, her smile soothes me.

"Why didn't you tell anyone? Let someone know that he was hurting you?" My lawyer says.

"No one would care," I sign.

"When S told me everything about what her family did to her just because she was a girl, my heart shattered. I couldn't believe someone would do such a thing to her," Angel says, her face full of sadness.

"S is the kindest person ever and although I didn't know her family. I know that her parents tried to get her to leave me for their son. I know that refusing to leave me resulted in her being kicked out, which I know isn't entirely illegal cause she's eighteen but it gives you a good view of how they treated her."

"Ma'am we need you to answer the question."

"No, she's not a liar nor does she have a history of being one."

"Okay, no further questions your honor," my father's lawyer says. "I'd like to call, Gabriel Miller to the witness stand."

Angel gets off and on goes my brother. He looks sternly at me. "Do you Gabriel Fisher, swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God?"

"Yes, I swear," he says then takes his hand off the Bible.

"Gabriel, you are Satan's brother, correct?"

"Yes."

"Okay, so you know almost everything about her, I mean you guys are twins!" He says, stating the obvious. "So tell me, do you and sister get along?"

"Objection, your honor. The question is irrelevant." my lawyer says, standing

"Overruled," my lawyer kisses his teeth, sitting back down.

"I mean not really. We don't talk much," he says, then looks at me.

"Your sister can't speak, why do you think that is?"

"Objection, your honor. The question is irrelevant!"

"Sustained. Mr. Riley, your questions are not helping your case. Let's get a move on."

"Right. Gabriel, do you believe your father has been sexually assaulting your sister?"

My brother pauses before answering and looks at me. His gaze is softer than before, his eyes, kind? We make eye contact and for the first time, I feel him. He's ridden with guilt and regret. "Yes."

What?
He told the truth?
What happened?
Why isn't he lying?
I don't get it...

"That's all the question I have," the lawyer says and turns around looking confused and puzzled.

"What just happened?" Angel whispers from behind. My lawyer shakes his head, showing us he doesn't know, and neither did I. Mr. Green stands up going to question Gabriel, but there is nothing more to ask. Gabriel is now supporting me.

That's not all, suddenly Aunt Cass walks through the door. She yells, "That man is not innocent! He is a disgusting human being and he smells gross too which is a crime within itself! Lock that man up and let the people in prison shank him! Die motherfucker!"

"Holy shit!" Angel laughs as we watch her being dragged by security. "Why did she eat though?"

"Alright, let's settle down. Order in the court!" The judge says slamming his gavel to silence the clamoring. "Jury, please disregard the outburst."

"Umm, I have no further questions, your honor," my lawyer says, sitting down beside me.

"Alright let's move on to the concluding statements. Mr. Riley?"

Both lawyers give their statements. Mr. Riley lies his ass off and it makes me mad. He talks about my dad's character and how good a father he is. Then he says how I'm just an angry teen trying to gain attention.

My lawyer took an emotional route. Talked about how a person like me would have a happy childhood. I don't really understand what that means but it seems to have given the jury a different perspective.

The jury goes away to come up with a verdict, so we have a little break. I still have to sit at the table so I turn around to face Angel. "How are you feeling?"

"Weird, why did my brother do what he did? Should stop being mad at him because he did that? Or should I still be angry at him?"

"It's up to you."

"I'm not that good at that." she reaches for my hand, placing her on top.

"It's okay, one step at a time," she smiles and I smile back. I kiss her glossed lips more than once before turning around.

They're back.

People return to their seats and the judge appears. My nerves rise and I begin to shake, I put my hand behind me, hoping she sees it. I relax a little when I feel her warm hand in mine.

The judge sits down and gathers himself before speaking. "Juror number 7 please read your verdict."

The juror stands and moves off the seat. My heart begins to beat out of my chest and my breathing becomes heavy. Relax, dude.

"We the jury find, Michael Fisher..." This is it. This will determine how people will see me. If they say guilty people will grow pity of me. If they say he's not guilty people will say I'm a liar even though I'm not. Which one is it?

"Guilty."

I won.
