Reaching Out

The episode begins with an exterior shot of the Owl House, a peculiar hum and beep emanating from within. As we cut to the inside, we find Luz's phone buzzing and charging. Luz, still snuggled with King, groggily reaches for her phone.

Luz: [Gasps.]

She sits up abruptly, her attention drawn to her phone. The camera zooms in to reveal a close-up of her phone screen, displaying an "Event Reminder With Mami". Luz stares at the reminder for a moment, then deliberately ignores it, setting the phone aside.

Meanwhile, Y, her boyfriend, stirs from his sleep nearby, noticing Luz's sudden movement.

Y: "Everything okay, Luz?"

Luz: "Oh, just a reminder I don't plan on attending."

Y: "Mami's event?"

Luz nods, and Y gives her a supportive smile, continuing their morning routine together.

Cut to the doorway of the living room, where Eda is peeking around the corner with King perched on her head. Y, Luz's boyfriend, is seen nearby, sipping his coffee while watching Luz with admiration.

Y: "Looks like someone's got a lot of plans for today," he says with a smile.

King: Uh, feelin' okay, Luz?

Luz responds enthusiastically: "I feel great! Today's gonna be a productive day of problem solving." She grabs a scroll of a list, then shows it to Eda and Y.

Eda, reading the list aloud, raises an eyebrow. Y chimes in, "Wow, Luz, that's quite the ambitious list you've got there."

Luz, undeterred, digs through papers and presents a new glyph combination to Y and Eda. She demonstrates it by sticking a glyph combo onto Francois's chest and throwing it in the air, causing it to float gently back down.

Y applauds her efforts, "That's really impressive, Luz!"

Meanwhile, Chot-San, Y's pet corgi, scampers over to play with the floating Francois. Y laughs and calls out to his pet, "Chot-San, be gentle!"

Luz, excited, points to a wooden door taped to Hooty, who is trying to stabilize it with a broom, a cinderblock, and a hammer. Vilador, an adult witch who lives with Eda, watches with a critical eye.

Vilador crosses his arms and says, "That door won't hold up with just tape, Luz."

Y, noticing Vilador's skepticism, adds, "But with some extra magic and the right tools, I bet we can make it work."

Luz agrees, "Exactly! And I'm already on my way to building a second door."

Hooty sneezes, causing everything to come crashing down. Vilador rushes over to help him up, muttering about the importance of safety precautions.

Luz, unfazed, pulls out a scroll from her pocket.

Eda: Did you steal my Penstagram?

Luz: I borrowed it because I've got a castle insider getting info on Belos. Willow gave me Hunter's contact.

Y, looking concerned, advises Luz, "Be careful, Luz. We don't want Belos to suspect anything."

Vilador nods in agreement, "Yes, we must tread carefully when it comes to Belos."

Luz nods and starts texting Hunter under his username, RULERZREACHF4N. However, her attempts to get information from Hunter are met with confusion and evasion.

Eda, noticing Luz's frustration, asks: "You're avoiding something. Spill it."

Y puts a comforting hand on Luz's shoulder, "Eda's right, Luz. What's really going on?"
