The Snake Whisperer (Reader x Naga!England)

PART 4

The next day, Y/N woke up exceptionally late than before, got breakfast and took a shower. Then got her uniform on and headed out to work. Once arriving, Y/N headed down to the main reception, where Alfred reminded that his brother would be there. She searched around the room, looking for a blonde male with glasses.

Once she saw someone with that description, she walked towards him. She took in his appearance: he did sort of look like Alfred, he had long blonde hair, but it looked more curlier than Alfred's and his brother had a weird long curl sticking out on the side. He didn't have blue eyes like his brother, but purple instead and he wore the same looking glasses.

He was tall, like Alfred, but maybe a few inches smaller. He wore a random pair of dark jeans, trainers and a Canadian flag jacket. Also, he had a small key-chain attached to the jacket zip of a cute polar bear.

Y/N approached him as he didn't notice her there. "You must be Matthew? Alfred's brother?" Y/N asked as the male jolted, looking up at the female. He chuckled quietly, scratching the back of his neck nervously, "Yeah that would be me." He said quietly.

'Wow, Alfred was right, he was shy. But he was so cute!' Y/N thought as she held her hand out for him, "I'm Y/N, a good friend of Alfred's and also his co-worker." She said as Matthew shook her small hand, "Alfred told me a lot about you." He smiled.

Y/N smiled back, "Cool, I heard you were doing voluntary work here. I'll show you around." She said as she lead the Canadian male out of the reception. She gave him the zoo logo shirt along with a badge to show he was only doing voluntary.

She showed him around, also getting to know him more. He liked to play ice hockey, eat pancakes and maple syrup and having alone time to himself. He also said that he didn't like being ignored by others that he knew, being interrupted by his brother, because he spoke so quietly and when he was recognised, he was thought to of been his brother!

Y/N felt sympathetic for the male, he was much calmer to be around compared to Alfred and Matthew was more of a good listener when she spoke about herself.

In the end, Y/N knew she would have a good friendship with Matthew, at least she was finding new friends. As the two walked down the hallway to the reptile room, Y/N noticed that there were more children around than as usual. "This is strange... There usually not this many children here this morning. And where are they all going?" Y/N muttered more to herself, but also to Matthew.

"M-Maybe, they just like to be around the animals, eh?" He asked as Y/N nodded her head, "Maybe you're right." She said as they continued their walk.

They stopped at the small snake rooms, "W-Wasn't Alfred working today?" Y/N asked Matthew, who nodded his head, "Yeah, although he was suppose to be hosting a children's party later this afternoon. He said something this morning about having to come in early." He said as Y/N nodded.

"That might explain why the snakes have already eaten then." She muttered, "Then where could he be?" She asked, when her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of children screaming down the hallway.

The two looked at each other, fear in Matthew's eyes as the two ran towards the noise. Little children screaming and running away, "Miss, miss! One of the men is inside with that scary monster snake man." Once of the little boys said, tears filling his eyes as he ran off out of the building.

Y/N knew what he was talking about, someone had gone into the room with Arthur. 'Sh*t!' She thought, running down towards the glass room, seeing there Arthur hissing and growling at the person inside with him.

Y/N noticed that there were some children still hanging around, to watch as she turned to see Matthew with shocked eyes. Y/N turned back to look inside as her eyes widened at the sight too.

Inside was Alfred, a large bucket in his hand as he was trying to feed Arthur. "No, no, no, no!" Y/N muttered as she ran off, running as fast as she could to the staff only door.

She dodged running children from every corner as she ran inside, trying to unlock the door with the password, but realised that the door wouldn't budge. "Come on! Alfred!!" Y/N screamed on the outside of the door as she ran to the control room, the people inside trying to get the door to unlock too.

"Y/N! GET HIM OUT OF THERE!!" one of the men shouted towards her as Y/N ran back to the door, trying to unlock the password. But still the password wouldn't be accepted.

"COME ON! ALFRED!! OPEN UP!!" Y/N screamed, but she heard the growls from Arthur and the shouts from Alfred.

Alfred's P.O.V

Alfred didn't know what he was doing as he was hitting the bucket of raw meat to gain the Naga's attention, "COME ON, JUST EAT IT!" Alfred shouted at the Naga, who just growled louder, with such rage knocked the bucket out of Alfred's hand.

Alfred stood now in fear as Arthur tried to attack him, but Alfred just about in time dodged his attack. Now trying to run to the door, Alfred tripped on the Naga's tail, falling to the floor as he backed away to the wall, Arthur towering over him. Arthur held up in hand, his sharp nails/claws were waiting for the right moment to claw at him.

Alfred closed his eyes, as he heard the screams from outside of the children watching and as he waited for his end.

The door to the enclosure suddenly swung open, in came running in was a H/C haired blur as Y/N ran in front of Arthur, just about when he was swinging his hand down to attack Alfred.

Y/N yelped but stayed still as she held both arms out for Arthur not to move. Alfred opened his eyes, seeing Y/N now stand in front of him, "Y/N, I..."

"GET THE F*CK OUT OF HERE ALFRED!" Y/N screeched as Alfred didn't waste time getting to his feet and running to the door.

Back to Y/N's P.O.V

Y/N stood in front of Arthur, his eyes looked darker than usual as he growled and hissed at Y/N. "Stop it!" Y/N barked back as Arthur hissed louder, "ARTHUR!" Y/N shouted as Arthur stopped on the spot.

Y/N breathed heavily as she moved forward, making Arthur slither backwards. The room was soon bombarded with other zookeepers who tranquillized him. Y/N screamed as she was dragged out the room, seeing as they held down Arthur onto the floor, hearing him hiss and growl, before the door was shut.

Y/N was thrown onto the floor, before being attacked into a hug by Alfred, "Y/N, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that! I was jealous that you could feed him and I wanted to at least feed him once and he lashed out at me and I tried to open the door, but it was locked-"

"It's fine." Y/N muttered quietly as Alfred paused, pulling away to see her looking like she was going to cry, her E/C eyes were now red as she felt the tears fall.

"Y/N..." Y/N looked up, seeing now also Matthew in the room with them. He had his gaze almost looking down at the floor. Y/N followed his gaze as she saw what he was looking at.

Her arm, her arm might of well have been ripped apart by Arthur as three large claw marks were shown in the flesh of her arm. Blood was dripping out of her wound, running down to her hand and dripping onto the floor.

Y/N gasped as she only just realised that Arthur had lashed at her as she knelt down on the wall, tears falling down as she processed all that had happened.

'I'm sorry this happened to you Arthur...'
