creating constellations

paint, a slam poem.

can someone please explain to me how this has become a problem?
explain to me why putting this paint on my face, immediately makes me a disgrace.
explain to me why when i go out with a blank canvas,
people point out the things i could so easily paint over,
but was i not just advised otherwise?
can anyone explain to me why
my face
and my paint
have anything to do with how they go about their day?
it's fairly clear it doesn't,
and that's why the paint is here to stay.

please don't tell someone they wear too much makeup, there's no point. if they're confident with it, they're not going to stop wearing it. also, don't tell someone that they need to wear makeup. it's not your concern how they choose to present themselves. paint doesn't impact personality.
