Because Of You

Chapter 26

Grace POV:

Today was the day of the ball and I was a bundle of nerves. I was nervous to finally meet Arsen's mother, but I was also nervous because not only would the whole pack would be here today, but many other Alphas as well. To add to the nerves, Arsen asked me if I would mind being introduced officially to the pack as their Luna. At first I objected, not because I didn't want to be introduced, but because it was Arsen's mothers birthday ball, and I didn't want to take the spotlight.

Arsen then told me that his mother was the one who suggested it and would be more than happy. And that's how we're here today.

I was sat in Macy's room getting ready for the ball. I helped Sarah do her hair which was an updo, that looked elegant and lovely on her blonde hair. Macy was now curling my hair and once again pinning it to the side while Sarah did my makeup. Macy was the first to finish getting ready and then Sarah, and now it was my turn. Lia wasn't with us since she promised to help Amanda and Jennifer get ready.

"So Grace, are you excited? You're getting introduced today." Sarah asked excitedly.

"I'm nervous." I said biting my lip.

"You'll be great up there, be yourself and that's enough." Macy said finishing off the last strand.

"And we're done!" Sarah said while applying some dark red lipstick to my lips before pulling back.

I looked at myself in the mirror and gasped. My hair was done perfectly and so was my makeup.

"Thanks guys." I said pulling them in for a group hug.

We pulled back and got into our dresses carefully. I had Macy zip me up before helping the others into their dresses.

I put on my heels along with the other girls and grabbed my clutch.

The three of us looked at the mirror one last time before walking out towards the stairs where our dates were waiting.

As soon as they heard the click of heels, three heads popped up to look in the direction of their mates. They stared as if they were in a trance the whole way we were walking down the stairs.

I stopped in front of Arsen and looked him up and down as he did the same for me. He was in a black tuxedo and looked handsome.

"Grace, you look incredible." Arsen breathed out.

"I could say the same for you." I said smiling.

"Shall we?" He said holding out his arm for me to take.

I grabbed it and we walked out towards his car. He helped me into the car before walking to the other side. I noticed Macy and Sarah getting to their mates cars as well before we were off.

We soon arrive at the venue which was in a fancy hotel. We made our way out of the car and walked into the hall where the party was being held. As soon as we walked in all eyes turned to us and bowed in respect.

Arsen smiled before pulling my through the crowd. We soon reached a woman who shared the same features as Macy and Arsen. She was dressed in a white cocktail dress and looked stunning. Upon seeing us, a huge smile broke out into her face.

She walked towards us and engulfed Arsen in a hug. She gave him a kiss on the cheek that caused Arsen to blush. I giggled from next to him which caused her to turn to me.
