something for creators

(I posted this on my updates book too and thought that it would be better for the majority of you to hear it.)

I went to a panel on Sunday whilst I was at Comic Con and it was so very important what she said.

The cosplayer that the panel was focused around, OhMy! Sophii, told us that creators need to get out of the mindset of grading our stuff's worth by views/likes. I'm in that mindset and have been for a long time, so for her to say that other creators feel it too? I didn't feel alone in that anymore.

What she told us is very important to me. She said to stop valuing likes/views and think back to why you started in the first place. If it's fun and something you love to do, then keep doing it, whether you get views/likes or get none at all. The only validation that really matters of your work is your own.

She said that your work will have highs and lows; there is no pattern to the amount of likes/views you get. You may get 5,000 likes/views on one thing and you may get five on another. The main thing Sophi told us is to not give up on what you love and to stop valuing likes/views more than your own work.
