I was still surrounded in darkness when I heard two voices talking, before a door closed shut.

"Amahle? Can you hear me?" I recognised the voice belonged to Brock.

Slowly opening my eyes, I saw that I was on my bed.

Trying to get up, a sharp amount of pain went through my legs up to my arms.

"You need to rest. The doctor said that you will be alright soon," Brock said, sitting down on the foot of the bed.

"No, I won't." I tried getting up once more, but my body was aching.

"Lucifer! Lucille!" I yelled up at the ceiling, while Brock curiously looked at me.

"They're not here, remember," he said.

"I know, but maybe I can get them to hear me," I explained. "And where's Jay?"

He was about to respond when the door flew open as Jay run to my side.

"Mommy!" He shouted, jumping onto the bed near me. "They said that you're sick."

"Don't worry sweetie, I'm doing fine," I reassured him with a smile.

An emotion went through Brock's eyes as he looked at the two of us together.

"Is there anything I can do mommy?" Jay asked with sad eyes.

"Can you get me Lucille's doll and a pen sweetie?" I asked, as he quickly got off the bed and run off.

"How is a doll going to help you?" Brock asked, probably thinking that I was going crazy.

"I'm just sending a message which I hope she receives."

Then in came Jay with what I asked him to retrieve.

"Thanks sweetie. Now why don't you go play? I'll come and join you soon," I smiled at him.

When he was gone, I motioned for Brock to close the door.

As soon as it was shut, I began stabbing the doll until I felt my ears ringing.

My plan had worked.

"Lucille, tell your father I need to see him," I said, as the ringing went away.

"So I'm guessing whatever you did that for worked?"

I nodded my head.

That's when I heard the voice I thought I would never hear again.

"Let me out," it roared. "You need me!"

I wrapped my hands around my stomach as I felt my insides tearing up.

"Thanks for everything and for looking after Jay, but you need to leave now. He's almost here."

He was ready to argue with me, but the look in my eyes said otherwise.

He smiled at me before exiting the room.

"I'm sorry I left you alone to deal with it," Lucifer said, showing up.

"Can you put it to sleep again?" I asked hopefully.

"That won't work now that it has gained so much strength from hibernating."

He seemed to be thinking for a while.

"It looks like there is no other option but to release it."

I was about to argue when he stopped me. "We both no that it will stop at nothing until it is freed, so think about the damage it will do to your body."

I sighed knowing he was right. There was nothing else I could do to hold it back in.

"It won't be that bad." He tried to lighten the situation.

Now all that was left was to release it.
