I woke up feeling better than ever, but I just knew that something was wrong inside me even though it felt so right at the same time.

"Mommy!" Jay squealed, as he jumped on me and gave me a tight hug. "You're up."

I let out a light chuckle and returned the hug, while running my fingers in his blonde hair.

"I'm fine. What happened?" I questioned, when he let go of me and took a seat on the couch that I was resting on.

"They found you yesterday in the woods. I thought I had lost you just like how Lucille disappeared," he said softly, a tear drop escaping his eye.

"Shh," I cooed, as I placed him in my lap and rocked him back and forth. "I would never abandon you and Lucille's coming back."

"Promise?" He sniffed as he wiped away the tear drop.

"Promise." I gave him another hug, before putting him on his feet. "And don't ever think that I will just leave you all alone, okay?"

He nodded his head before getting back on the couch and rolling into a little ball, as he fell asleep besides me.

After staring at him for a while, I decided to go and get a glass of water to quench my thirst. As I got up, I felt a strong pain in my stomach so I lifted up my shirt to see what it was.

There on my stomach was three claw marks that appeared to be fresh, but there was not even a single drop of blood.

"Hello there Amahle." Her voice was low and a bit rough as it bounced around in my head.

"It has been quite a while Elvira and I can't say I have missed you." I spoke softly so that I would not wake up Jay who was lying peacefully asleep.

She let out a deep laugh before speaking. "Well I missed you Amahle."

I shook my head at her little lie, but let her continue to speak.

"I missed all the fun we used to have, like when we fed on an entire coven." I could just imagine her smirking at me. "The oh so sweet taste of vampire blood and of course I can't forget that the mermaid we had."

I shut my eyes as I tried to forget the images but they just kept on popping up in my head.

A black haired male vampire with emerald green eyes laid on my lap as I sank my teeth into his wrist, drinking up his venomous blood.

Shaking my head in an attempt to remove the image from my mind, but more just appeared instead.

"You can't deny what you are Amahle. What we are!" Her laugh was now dark as I felt her shifting around inside of my body.

"Don't you mean our body? We are one after all and you know you love the power that we share."

I didn't know what to do say or do. Even if I tried to deny it, my mind knew I was lying and so did my heart.

"Maybe you are right, but what does that change? Nothing!" I spat at her, but she only laughed.

"Silly little girl. It changes a lot." Her voice disappeared and I resumed on my way to the kitchen as if nothing had happened until I felt my face was hot, but I ignored it.

As I was pouring myself a glass of water, Lana walked into the kitchen and immediately gasped as she saw me.

"That looks like a nasty scar, just wished I was the one to do it," she commented, as she got a banana from the fruit bowl and left.

Rushing into the nearest bathroom, I looked into the mirror to see three long claw marks on my face with blood coming out of it.

The weird thing is now that I saw it I felt the agony that came with a mark like that, but the part that gets even more weird was that I liked it.

"I knew you would."
