Guys.

We are here today to commemorate a great, great man that obviously isn't here with us today.

He died today 235 years ago.

Now a moment of silence for John Laurens.

...

We done with the silence?

Okay.

DAMN YOU YOU RANDOM READCOAT! I SWEAR ILL FIND YOUR GRAVE AND BURN YOUR BONES—

About John Laurens' death:

He was leading his troops by the Combahee River in SC when he was surprised by British troops.

John, being the reckless asshole he is, decided to attack instead of retreating, thinking they could win.

Unfortunately, he was shot in combat right there on August 27th.

Another thing!

When Hamilton found out Laurens died, he barely wrote anything about it.

For a man that wrote so much, this let's us know how badly he was grieving.

John Laurens was too good for this sinful Earth.
