Many of you know this already, but he was the one that discovered the Hamilton–Laurens letters (Yes, the damn idiot that crossed out the mysterious five words, though this person on Tumblr figured out what the words are— BACK TO THE POST).
Something that always gets me is that John Church Hamilton, after finding the letters, had a son whom he named Laurens.
(Before you kill me for not saying it, the post said that the five crossed words said "Mind you do justice to the length of my nose and don't forget, that I never spared you of pictures", you can die in peace now).
