So Henry was an asshole, right? But he was such a shitty dad to the point where John would make an extra effort to write as neatly as possible when writing to his dad and when he was in a hurry and couldn't write perfectly he'd apologize for it, while with other people John would just write like shit and don't give a fuck because Henry wouldn't be there to scold him for it.
