The last chapter was exactly one thousand words long. I know, silly, but still...
Anyways, this chapter will stress the importance of research. Being a realistic fiction author, it annoys me as hell when people don't do their research when writing stories.
I know, sometimes I don't do my research as well as I should have, but for the most part, I at least make an effort to do the due proper research in writing my story. In one of my short stories, "The Necklace", I had to research the properties of sterling silver to accurately write my story. I'm no metal expert, but I believe that I did the research needed to write my story, so good enough for me!
Research people! If your writing a hospital story, look up the costs of IV bags, how long it takes to operate a bullet, the nurse's uniform etc. Similarly, it might be wise for you to look up sports statistics and go through magazines and watch a few games if you're writing a basketball based story.
If you have some past experience with your subject, then great! Write that in, but be careful; not all the information you know may be accurate.
This chapter was short, but it will do.
Until next time!
