《 What do you want from me? 》

"Are you sure you don't want a lift home? It's raining.." Casey trailed off, shooting a glare at the sky.

"It's only drizzling, and I'll be fine, I don't live far" I replied, patting my friend on her shoulder.

She shrugged her shoulder again. "If you get sick, you're still coming to school" She replied.

"Yes mum" I replied, rolling my eyes and giving her a look.

"See ya tomorrow" Casey said before jumping down the steps.

I watched her run to her car. I turned away and began walking down the steps, heading in the direction of my house.

Casey passed me and I waved at her through the window. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and unwound my earphones, sticking them in. I pressed play and kept walking.

I raised my face up to the sky and breathed in, smiling as the water hit me slowly.
The walk was longer that I remembered but I did it anyway, cars rolled by, everyone on their own little world.

I watched them past, wondering if they knew about the supernatural that hid in their world. If they knew Vampires existed, that werewolves existed, if I existed.

My eyes darted to a car that started to slow down, the sleek black Mustang made me walk a little but faster. I didn't want to talk to him, after all these years and he just says that he loves me, there's something else that he's not saying.

"Need a ride?" Marcus asked, wounding down the window.

I glanced over and pulled out my earphones. "No I'm good, thanks though" I replied.

"Are you sure because the sky looks like it's about to open up" he replied.

I looked up and saw the threatening dark clouds. Lightening flashed across the sky followed by booming thunder. I jumped and quickly walked to the side of his car.
I pulled the door open and climbed in.  "Thanks" I said quickly.

I glanced at him before looking at him weirdly. "What?" I asked as he stared at me with a huge smirk on his face.

"Still scared of thunder and lightening?" He asked.

"Shut up" I replied as his smirk widened.

He pulled away from the curb and started to drive, my hands tightened on the seatbelt. "So how's was school?" He asked.

I pulled my bottom lip into my mouth to bite it. "The same it's been for the four years you weren't here" I replied.

Marcus sighed. "You know I had no decision on whether I stayed or went so stop holding it against me" he replied, his smile dropping.

"Fine, as long as you tell me where you went and why you didn't try and contact me" I replied turning my head to look at him.

His knuckles went white on the steering wheel as he gripped it. "I can't do that" he replied.

I scoffed and looked out the window again. "Diana, you have to understand, that where I was wasn't exactly the best place to be, it was a place where naughty children went to get taught manners" he replied.

"So you went to a military school?" I asked.

Marcus looked out the window before over at me. "Sort of" he replied.

"Why can't you tell me?" I asked, still prying.

Marcus turned into our street, the blinker flicking off. "Because it was a bad time for me and I'd rather not talk about it" he replied.

I looked down at my folded hands. "You know what was a bad time for me Marcus, when I'd wake up every morning wondering if I was ever going to see my best friend again, wondering if at any moment I could tell him how much he had meant to me, you might have been going through something dark and bad, but me.. I was suffering... because I didn't know if you were still alive" I spoke freely as he pulled up at the front of my house.

"Diana" he breathed out.

"But I moved on, I got new friends and found a new boy to love, and I just found out he likes me back, so if you don't mind, let me be angry at you and ignore you for a while" I replied, my voice rising.

My hand gripped the door handle and went to pull it but it wouldn't open.  "Seriously?" I asked, agitated.

"I saw Austin kiss you today" Marcus said, his voice dropping it's usual boyish charm.

I turned to look at him. "And?" I asked, tilting my head to look at me.

"I told you to stay away from him, why won't you listen to me?" He asked.

"Open the door Marcus, I'm not kidding around" I replied feeling my skin get hot.

I was getting angry, my skin always got hot when I was annoyed or angry.
"Neither am I, yet you completely ignore what I asked you to do.." Marcus growled out.

"I like him! I like Austin, he's funny, charming, sweet, kind, cute, respectful and most of all, I know he'd never leave me, that's why I ignored your request Marcus, because I like Austin, he makes me happy!!" I exploded.

"Now open the god damn door" I growled out.

I heard a click and I pushed the door open. "When you get hurt, don't come crying to me" Marcus replied stiffly.

I slammed the door shut and stomped away from the car. Tears ran down my face and I brushed them away angrily. I slid my keys into the front door and unlocked it. I shut it behind me and collapsed against it.

I slid down the door until I curled up with my knees to my chest. I pressed my forehead to my knees and started to cry. My body racked with sobs as I tightened my hold on my knees.

It was like a crawling sensation, something crawling across my hand. I flicked my hand out, to get rid of whatever was crawling on it and lifted my head.
I watched a whole stack of books fly across the room, smashing into the wall.

I looked at the dining room chairs. I glanced at it before pointing my hand at it. I clasped my hand into a fist and pulled it back towards me. The three dining chairs flew back and fell over.

I needed to control my magic. I pulled out my phone and called the one person I trusted more than anyone else.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's me, I need help" I replied.
