But something was wrong from the way he had pulled back so suddenly, and then pushed her away looking furiously around the room till his eyes landed on me.
When our eyes connected I knew right away that he had kissed the wrong girl. This guy was mine.

In this werewolf book you find your mate by smell and looking them in the eyes. He didn't look the girls friend in the eyes and she was the one that smelled like his mate, his actual mate took a shower before he arrived removing her scent temporarily with shampoo. :D
