Deviant By Design (ConnorxReader)

-Connor's POV-

I don't want to let her go, but two other deviants are running towards us and she turns around to face them. North looks at me but doesn't say anything, instead turning to the two approaching deviants, 

"Simon, Josh, you're all right!" North says, they nod. 

"I saw Markus heading towards the explosives." Josh says, 

"I know, I just hope he makes it..." She says, turning to glance at the water below us. She pauses for a moment, and then turns around. "Come on, we have to help him." She says, running in the opposite direction of our escape route. I look at the others, they follow. We rush through the corridors, until we see Markus running towards us, a soldier turns the corner behind him and goes to shoot, but from beside me I see Y/N pull her pistol and gun him down. Markus makes it to us safely, 

"Bomb's gonna explode any second we gotta get out of here." Markus says, and we run back the way we had come. I vault over some crates and the exit is in sight when a burst of gunfire breaks out behind us. North falls to the ground, Markus rushes to her side, using scrap metal as a shield. They fight off the soldiers but more are headed our way, I look once at Y/N and then run to help them as Markus carries North towards the exit.  The soldiers just seem to keep coming, even after I've taken out the ones that had rushed in more enter the corridor. I turn around and run,  North, Simon and Josh all jump. Markus and Y/N are waiting for me at the edge and she takes my hand as I run to it, we jump just before Markus. I hear gunshots but he makes it off the ship just as Jericho goes up in flames. 

** Hey guys, another short chapter I know, but I think I'm gonna try to add some art to the headers so yeah just a heads up, I'll probably be going back and doing that in the next few days. I'm still gonna add new chapters though don't worry :D Hope you are all enjoying it so far, if you are I'd love to hear from you in the comments!
