(Y/N)'s P.O.VI pull out my key and walk into the house.
(Y/N)- Hey mom, I'm home!
Jesse- Nice house.
(Y/N)- Thanks, come on in.
Jesse- Ok.
Mom- Hey sweetie. How was your day?
(Y/N)- Ok, yours?
Mom- Good. Is this your boyfriend?
Jesse- Um, I'm Jesse.
(Y/N)- And he's not my boyfriend. That's a rumor going around the school.
Jesse- Mhm.
Jesse smirks.
Mom- Ok. Snacks are in the fridge. And chips on the counter. You here to study?
Jesse- Science Experiment.
Mom- Ah.
(Y/N)- We'll be in the living room.
I start to walk away.
(Y/N)- Hey mom..
Mom- Yeah?
(Y/N)- How'd you know about the rumor?
Mom- Lexi told me.
(Y/N)- Great. *Mumbled*
Jesse and I sit down on the couch.
Jesse- Here's the instructions.
(Y/N)- Thanks. So, we need....
--------
Rock Candy Materials
3 cups sugar (sucrose)
1 cup boiling water
food coloring (optional)
flavoring (optional — good choices include cherry, peppermint, and cinnamon)
clean glass or plastic jar
wooden skewer or cotton string
-------(Y/N)- Do you think that we should measure the sugar then put it in a bag to take to class tommorow?
Jesse- That's a good idea. We should bring a bottle of water too.
(Y/N)- Yeah, should we use food coloring or just use flavoring? Also what flavor?
Jesse- Whatever you want.
Jesse chuckles.
(Y/N)- Cherry and red. We have the flavor and food coloring.
Jesse- Ok.
(Y/N)- I have a mason jar we can use. We just have to swish it out with water and we can go get chopsticks to use as a wooden stick.
Jesse- Chopsticks?
Jesse chuckles.
(Y/N)- Hey, if you have a better idea....
Jesse- No, no, It's cute. I like it. Let's go get chopsticks. I'll drive.
(Y/N)- Cool.
Jesse let me in the car and we drove to Walmart to get chopsticks.
