UNEXPECTED

Chapter eleven- New start

It had been two weeks since I had left Kyle and I was still depressed. Kyle still had Hunter and we had made a deal that I would take him back with me but Kyle gets him for two weeks every month.
River had done everything he could but she just wouldn't stop crying maybe it was the fact she hasn't got her baby at the moment but they was going to pick him up tonight, river hated how it turned out but like he said he wasn't about to give her up.

"River can we go now?"

"Sure love"

We walked towards the car and started the 45 minute drive to my old house, we eventually pulled up outside and I told river to wait in the car while I went in and got him.

"Ava I really think I should come"

"No river. Its best you don't. Kyle will still be very pissed and like you said this is his territory he can kick you and demand I stay. So please just stay in the car"

"Okay but be quick, I won't to be home no later than half 8"

I walked up to the steps and put the key in the door, I walked through the house to where I could hear Hunter and Kyle's laughter. Any other day I would have a smile on my face at this but today it just made me want to cry.

"Dada"

"That's right buddy" Kyle laughed.

I froze when I saw Kyle he looked so beat, he's hair was everywhere, he had full on bags under his eyes and he looked like he had lost a bit of weight.

"Kyle?"

Kyle looked up at me and just like that Hunter started going crazy.
I walked over and picked him up.

"Hey buddy, have you missed mommy?"

"He cries for you at night sometimes"

"Kyle, I want us to remain friends after this. We have a child. I want you to on and have more kids"

"No Ava I don't want that, I wanted you and our family, but I guess we can't all have what we want can we"

"Kyle.."

"Just tell me something have you and river done anything?"

"No Kyle I wouldn't do that to you!"

"I just want one more thing and then you can go, start a new life with river"

"Anything"

"One more kiss Ava, for old times sake"

"Kyle I don't think that's a good idea"

"Ava please, just one more time"

"Okay"

I put hunter back on the floor and he crawled straight over to his toys, I then walked towards Kyle. He opened his arms and I stepped into him. I didn't care if I had River waiting outside for me, I was still with Kyle for 6 years and married for 6 months.

"I love you forever Ava"

And then he kissed me. This was like one of them kisses we normally had when me and Kyle had a fight and it would always result in make up sake.
I started kissing Kyle back and he swiped his tongue across my bottom lip asking for entrance, I gave it to him. We kissed for about another minute until he pulled away from me.

"Go Ava, before I do something we both regret"

I picked Hunter back up and made my way out of the sitting room.
I whispered I loved Kyle because I knew he would hear and River wouldn't.

"I love you Kyle forever"

I knew by saying that to him he wouldn't fell as down I just hoped he did move on.
I buckled the baby into the back of rivers Car and climbed into the front seat.
I looked over at river and saw his fist were clenched. I touched his hands and he started unclenching them.

"That's go and start our new life"

"Are you sure this is what you want?"

"I'm positive, but river Kyle will always be apart of my life. He's hunters dad and therefore will always be in my heart"

"I know Ava its just hard to understand"

"I know, well let's get going"

And we drove off towards Houston to start our new life as a family.
